2010 Matchups Between SEC East And SEC West

SEC East vs SEC West
After ranking the teams in the SEC East and the teams in the SEC West, Bo then looked at the matchups between the teams ranked the same to hypothesize which division of the Southeastern Conference is going to be stronger in 2010. To add on this discussion, today I simply want to look at all of the actual matchups in the Southeastern Conference. We’ll go more in depth on these games in the coming weeks, so this is simply an overview. Here is a list of every game the SEC East plays the SEC West:
Sept 11, 2010
- LSU @ Vanderbilt
Sept 18, 2010
- Arkansas @ Georgia
- Ole Miss @ Vanderbilt
Sept 25, 2010
- South Carolina @ Auburn
- Georgia @ Mississippi State
Oct 2, 2010
- Florida @ Alabama
- LSU @ Tennessee
- Kentucky @ Ole Miss
Oct 9, 2010
- Alabama @ South Carolina
- Auburn @ Kentucky
- LSU @ Florida
Oct 16, 2010
- Mississippi State @ Florida
Oct 23, 2010
- Alabama @ Tennessee
Oct 30, 2010
- Kentucky @ Mississippi State
- Vanderbilt @ Arkansas
Nov 6, 2010
- Arkansas @ South Carolina
Nov 13, 2010
- Georgia @ Auburn
- Ole Miss @ Tennessee
There are 18 games this year between the two divisions of the SEC. Through Oct 2, I think the SEC West will start off with a 7 to 1 or a 6 to 2 record against the SEC East. From there, I think the games will be split 5 to 5 between the divisions. I’m projecting the SEC West to win the battle this year and clinch at least 11 of the 18 games against the Eastern side of the conference.
What are your thoughts? Which division will win the most games this year? What do you project the record to be between the divisions?

Take out the obvious Vandy games (losses) and every other game through Oct 2 is a toss up. I seriously doubt it will be a 7 to 1 ratio.
West 11-7 East 7-11
Alabama 3-0 Florida 2-1
Auburn 2-1 Georgia 3-0
Arkansas 2-1 Kentucky 1-2
LSU 2-1 South Carlina 1-2
Mississippi State 0-3 Tennessee 0-3
Ole Miss 2-1 Vanderbelt 0-3
-Its a rebuilding year in the East and Alabama is no doubt the SEC Champion. Georgia is the only team in the East with a strong enough Defence to stop the tide. But Georgia will never beat Florida. So we will see BAMA make another Quaterback at Florida cry, not once but but twice this year. Vandy and Mississippi State always are pittyful, Ketucky and Auburn will suprise people, Arkansas and South Carlina are over-rated.
