Alabama JUCO commit Aaron Douglas was arrested on Thursday night, and he was charged with a DUI in Maryville, TN.  Douglas just signed a letter of intent to play for Alabama last week, and now those plans might be in serious jeopardy.  Douglas started his collegiate career and played for the Tennessee Vols for one year, but he transferred to a JUCO for one year before signing with the Tide.  Douglas’ tenure with the Vols was a very tumultuous one, and his career at Alabama has got off to a rough start, if he will even have a career at Alabama now.  To say whether or not Douglas will play at Alabama would be purely speculative.  However, Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban has not addressed the situation, and we will report his decision when one is made.

  1. Johnny Smith says:

What a shame. For these talented young men, the world is their oyster, and it’s a real pity to see them throwing it away for such childish behavior. Whether at Alabama, or at a junior college somewhere, I hope this kid can get his life right.

  2. David Green says:

I hope he can get it together.
