The Capstone Report is reporting that Texas A&M fans are bombarding the facebook page of Texas A&M President over the move to stay in the Big 12 as opposed to joining the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
Some interesting comments from A&M fans on the above referenced Facebook page:
Dr. Loftin it has now been two days since what many believe to be one of the worst decisions in A&M history was made, and you guessed it we are still waiting for answers. Sooner or later the people who made this decision will be held accountable for their actions. I’m afraid the longer you put this off the more damaging the consequences will be for my University.
Dr. Loftin…You as “President” of The Universtiy of Texas at College Station owe all of us a detailed explination of this horrible abomination. We all know your tenure here will be short, but you still owe us that much! Thank you!
Some fans speculate that by joining the SEC, Texas A&M would have been able to put a dent in the recruiting domination of the University of Texas for in-state athletes. By being the only school in the Lonestar state to play in the high-regarded SEC, A&M might be able to snag additional coveted recruits.
For now, nothing changes for the Aggies.
