Below is a list from Mike Herndon of AL.com that I adapted with logos for every player committed to a SEC school. These are the top 120 recruits for 2011 that are in the Southeast. Let’s hope these young men stay in the Southeast. As of right now, here are the numbers for the ones that have committed to each SEC school:

2011 Top 120 Football Recruits in the Southeast:

1. Jadeveon Clowney, DE, Rock Hill (S.C.) South Pointe, (6-6, 248). A freakishly gifted athlete who’s been clocked as fast as 4.48 in the 40, he’s a terror off the edge. Racked up 144 tackles and 24 sacks in 2009. Alabama and South Carolina lead Clemson, Florida State and LSU.

2. James Wilder Jr., RB/LB, Tampa (Fla.) Plant (6-2, 220). Play him at running back. Play him at linebacker. Play him wherever. The guy is a beast. Ran for 1,004 yards in ’09 and had 136 tackles and 19 sacks. Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Miami lead.

3. Ray Drew, DE, Thomasville (Ga.) Thomas County-Central, (6-5, 243). A three-sport star and ordained minister with a great motor, he had 72 tackles, 6 sacks and 25 QB pressures as a junior. Long list of offers includes Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina and USC.

4. Tony Steward, LB, St. Augustine (Fla.) Pedro Menendez (6-2, 225). An aggressive hitting machine with a bodybuilder’s physique, he posted 123 tackles and 24 stops for loss in ’09. Clemson leads Alabama, Florida and Florida State.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed5. La’El Collins, OT, Baton Rouge (La.) Redemptorist (6-5, 300). Blessed with excellent feet, he should be a franchise-type tackle at the college level in a hurry. Mentioned in article for 5 best committed Offensive Players for 2011. Committed to LSU.

6. Isaiah Crowell, RB, Columbus (Ga.) Carver (5-11, 215). Blessed with a rare blend of speed and power, he rushed for more than 1,900 yards and 25 TDs as a junior. Alabama and Georgia lead Clemson and Miami.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed7. Anthony Johnson, DT, New Orleans (La.) O. Perry Walker (6-4, 298). A disruptive force who can blow up the middle of the line, he had 80 tackles and 12 sacks in ’09. Mentioned in article for 5 best committed Defensive Players for 2011. Committed to LSU.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed8. Hasean Clinton-Dix, S/ATH, Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips (6-2, 190). Multi-talented athlete likely destined to play safety, where he made 93 tackles, 6 sacks and 3 interceptions in ’09. Mentioned in article for 5 best committed Defensive Players for 2011. Committed to Alabama.

9. Timmy Jernigan, DT, Lake City (Fla.) Columbia (6-2, 275). Super-quick penetrator had 131 tackles and 27 stops for loss as a junior. Considering offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Michigan and USC.

10. Jay Rome, TE, Valdosta (Ga.) (6-6, 240). A big target with great hands and the speed and athleticism to make plays downfield, he caught 32 passes for more than 500 yards in ’09. Also stars in basketball. Clemson, Georgia, Florida and Alabama lead.

11. Gregory Robinson, OT, Thibodaux (La.) (6-4, 296). A dominant, powerful drive blocker with a nasty streak. Auburn and LSU lead.

12. Mike Bellamy, RB, Punta Gorda (Fla) Charlotte (5-10, 175). A 4.4 speedster who won a state 100-meter title in track (10.51) and has the moves to make that speed work on the field. Committed to Clemson.

13. Sammy Watkins, WR/ATH, South Fort Myers (Fla.) (6-1, 180, 4.5). Younger brother of Florida’s Jaylen Watkins had 46 catches for 1,192 yards and 16 TDs in ’09. Miami and Clemson lead Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, North Carolina, Tennessee and South Florida.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed14. Kenny Hilliard, RB, Patterson (La.) (6-0, 218). Powerful downhill runner is Louisiana’s sixth all-time leading rusher with 6,714 yards. Mentioned in article for 5 best committed Offensive Players for 2011. Committed to LSU.

15. Antonio Richardson, OL, Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth (6-6, 310). An elite tackle prospect who moves incredibly well for his size. Has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Clemson, Georgia, Miami, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and USC.

16. Stephon Tuitt, DE, Monroe (Ga.) (6-5, 260). A big end who could grow into a tackle, he made 58 tackles, 17 stops for loss and 10 sacks as a junior. Georgia Tech, Auburn, Miami, Clemson and Tennessee lead.

17. Brandon Shell, OT, Charleston (S.C.) Goose Creek (6-7, 290). Nephew of NFL Hall of Famer Art Shell is a powerful pancake machine. South Carolina and Georgia lead Alabama, Clemson and Miami.

18. Charone Peake, WR, Roebuck (S.C.) Dorman (6-3, 185). Chiseled athlete had 52 catches for 881 yards and 9 TDs for South Carolina’s 4A state champs. Committed to Clemson.

19. Karlos Williams, S, Davenport (Fla.) Ridge (6-2, 210). Big, talented safety could grow into a linebacker. Committed to Florida State.

22. Mike Blakely, RB, Bradenton (Fla.) Manatee (5-9, 194). A shifty, elusive runner with great vision, he had 1,400 yards rushing and 35 receptions in ’09. Considering offers from Auburn, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Southern Cal and Georgia.

23. Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Belle Glade (Fla.) Central (6-6, 210). A big target who has played only two years of football, he made 36 catches for 861 yards and 5 TDs in ’09. Miami and Florida lead.

24. Erique Florence, S, Valley (Ala.) (6-2, 181). Rangy, hard-hitting safety returned three punts for TDs in ’09, will also play QB in ’10. Auburn leads Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, South Carolina, Southern Miss, Stanford and UAB.

25. Nickolas Brassell, WR/DB, Batesville (Miss.) South Panola (6-0, 175). An elusive, fluid runner after the catch, he pulled down 63 receptions for 1,272 yards and 16 TDs as a junior. Considering offers from Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Tennessee and USC.

26. Tyler Moore, OT, Clearwater (Fla.) Countryside (6-6, 305). A bit upright, but a strong drive blocker and sound pass protector. Committed to Nebraska.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed27. Marvin Shinn, WR, Prichard (Ala.) Vigor (6-3, 177). Posted more than 1,600 yards of offense while splitting time between WR and QB as a junior. Committed to Alabama.

28. Damian Swann, ATH, Atlanta (Ga.) Grady (6-0, 175). Multi-talented athlete had 800 yards receiving and 4 interceptions on defense as a junior. Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Virginia Tech and Ohio State lead.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed29. Brent Calloway, LB, Russellville (Ala.) (6-2, 210). Gifted athlete ran for 1,460 yards and 23 TDs, but projects as an outside linebacker. Mentioned in article for 5 best committed Defensive Players for 2011. Committed to Alabama.

30. Bobby Hart, OL, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons (6-4, 283). A relentless drive blocker with good feet in pass protection. Committed to Florida State.

31. Demetrius Hart, RB, Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips (5-8, 190). Lethal in the open field, he accounted for more than 2,000 all-purpose yards and 21 TDs as a junior. Alabama, Auburn and Michigan lead.

32. Aaron Lynch, DE, Cape Coral (Fla.) Island Coast (6-6, 245). Strong enough to fight through blocks, quick enough to get around them. Florida, Florida State and Notre Dame lead.

33. Marlin Lane, RB, Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland (6-1, 190). A bigger back who can shift and cut on a dime, he ran for 1,088 yards in an injury-shortened junior season. Committed to Clemson.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed37. Kiehl Frazier, QB, Springdale (Ark.) Shilo Christian (6-3, 212). A strong runner and strong-armed passer who has led his team to back-to-back state titles. Committed to Auburn.

38. Malcolm Mitchell, S/WR, Valdosta (Ga.) (6-1, 170). Speedy two-way star is also a weapon in the return game. Alabama, Florida and Georgia lead Auburn, Clemson, LSU, South Carolina and Tennessee.

39. Quan Bray, ATH, LaGrange (Ga.) Troup (5-11, 178). Accounted for 2,128 yards and 28 TDs of offense as a junior. Has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Stanford, Tennessee and others.

40. Nick O’Leary, TE, West Palm Beach (Fla.) Dwyer (6-4, 230). Grandson of Jack Nicklaus presents matchup problems, made 43 receptions for 679 yards and 7 TDs in ’09. Has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Boston College, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia and others.

41. Xzavier Dickson, DE, Griffin (Ga.) (6-3, 238). Strong and relentless off the edge, he’s also a weapon as a tight end on offense. Alabama leads Auburn and Georgia.

42. Gabe Wright, DT, Columbus (Ga.) Carver (6-3, 273). Disruptive lineman posted 55 tackles and 5 sacks in ’09. Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida State and Clemson lead Maryland, Oklahoma State, Michigan and UCLA.

43. Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Miami (Fla.) Northwestern (6-3, 185). A dual-threat quarterback with a pocket-passer arm and a frame that he’s still growing into. Committed to Miami.

44. Marcus Roberson, CB, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas (6-1, 170). Quick and instinctive, he plays both corner and safety. Auburn and Florida lead Oklahoma, Georgia and Texas A&M.

45. Giorgio Newberry, DE, Fort Pierce (Fla.) Central (6-6, 255). Thick-bodied lineman could grow into a defensive or even offensive tackle. Florida, Florida State and Miami lead LSU and Tennessee.

46. James Vaughters, LB, Tucker (Ga.) (6-2, 233). Sideline-to-sideline pursuer can play inside or outside, stuff the run or chase the quarterback. Committed to Stanford.

47. Wayne Lyons, S, Fort Lauderdale (Fla) Dillard (6-0, 190). Strong against the run, 21 of his 76 tackles in ’09 were for loss. Considering offers from Auburn, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Notre Dame, South Carolina, South Florida, Stanford, UCLA and Vanderbilt.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed48. Reese Dismukes, C, Spanish Fort (Ala.) (6-3, 272). A natural center who is dominant at the point of attack. Committed to Auburn.

49. Nick Waisome, CB, Groveland (Fla.) South Lake (5-10, 175). Competitive and feisty, he’s a solid cover corner who’s also a weapon in the return game. Considering Florida, Florida State, LSU, Georgia and South Carolina.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed50. D.J. Pettway, DE, Pensacola Catholic (Fla.) (6-2, 255). A frequent backfield visitor, 25 of his 85 tackles were for losses in ’09 and had 16 sacks. Committed to Alabama.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed51. Justin Scott-Wesley, WR, Camilla (Ga.) Mitchell County (6-0, 200). A speedster who turned in the second-fastest 100-meter time in state history (10.35) and qualified for the U.S. Junior Track and Field Championships in the event. Committed to Georgia.

52. Jermauria Rasco, DE, Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian (6-3, 225). Sack specialist (26 during sophomore year in ’08) can also fight through blocks to stop the run. Has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, USC and others.

53. Tobias Singleton, WR, Jackson (Miss.) Madison Central (6-2, 187). Runs a 4.4 40 and caught 55 passes for 890 yards and 18 TDs in ’09. UCLA leads Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Southern Miss, Tennessee and Memphis.

54. Jonathan Rose, CB, Leeds (Ala.), (6-2, 170). Returned two punts and two kickoffs for TDs, picked off five passes as a junior. Auburn leads Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Southern Miss and Memphis.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed55. Zack DeBell, OT, Tarpon Springs (Fla.) (6-7, 265). Tall, long-armed, fit lineman needs to add weight, but has the frame to do so. Committed to Georgia.

56. Lamar Dawson, LB, Danville (Ky.) Boyle County (6-2, 230). A big hitter with a nose for the football, he had 176 tackles with 23 for losses in ’09. Has offers from Cincinnati, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Northwestern, Oregon, Purdue, Stanford, Texas Tech, USC and Western Kentucky.

57. Andrew Buie, RB, Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian (5-9, 188). Runs with tremendous burst and is an excellent receiver out of the backfield. Has offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Iowa State, Louisville, Maryland, West Virginia and Memphis.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed59. Gerrod Holliman, DB, Miami (Fla.) Southridge (6-0, 180). A ball-hawk who recorded 75 tackles and 4 interceptions in ’09. Committed to Ole Miss.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed60. Ryan Shazier, LB, Plantation (Fla.) (6-3, 205). Recorded 87 tackles and 19 sacks in ’09 and recorded one of the highest NIKE Sparq camp ratings of the year. Committed to Florida.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed61. Corey Moore, S, Griffin (Ga.) (6-1, 195). Big hitter who has a penchant for jumping routes in the passing game. Committed to Georgia.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed62. Shannon Brown, LB, Adel (Ga.) Cook (6-2, 240). Roams the middle with an attitude and doubles as a power running back. Committed to Alabama.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed63. Danny Woodson Jr., WR, Mobile (Ala.) LeFlore (6-2, 200). The son of former Alabama QB Danny Woodson had 78 catches for 1,360 yards and 15 TDs in ’09. Committed to Alabama.

64. Brandon Fulse, TE, Fort Meade (Fla.) (6-4, 247). A big, athletic tight end with good hands who also starred on defense with 72 tackles and 10 sacks. Considering offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Clemson, Tennessee, Oregon, Michigan, Texas Tech and South Florida.

65. Nile Lawrence-Stample, DT, Davie (Fla.) Nova (6-1, 295). Quick enough to play linebacker for his high school and strong enough to send a RB sprawling backward in a hurry. Committed to Florida State.

66. Curt Maggitt, DE/LB, West Palm Beach (Fla.) Dwyer (6-3, 210). Undersized but extremely explosive off the edge, might be ideal as a 3-4 OLB. Has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Iowa, Iowa State, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, Rutgers, South Carolina, South Florida, Tennessee, Texas Tech and West Virginia.

67. Lateek Townsend, LB, Bennettsville (S.C.) Marlboro County (6-2, 200). Athletic linebacker is a terror on the blitz, racking up 189 tackles with 36 for losses in ’09. Has narrowed his choices to Clemson, South Carolina, Florida, LSU and USC.

69. Mickey Johnson, DT, Covington (La.) St. Paul’s (6-1, 310). Incredibly strong lineman (450-pound bench press) had 49 tackles and 7 sacks in ’09. LSU, Michigan, Nebraska, Tennessee and UCLA lead.

71. Avery Walls, S, McDonough (Ga.) Union Grove (5-11, 184). Excellent read-react ability and hits like a truck. Considering offers from California, UConn, Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Stanford, Tennessee, UCLA and Virginia.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed72. Ja’Juan Story, WR, Brooksville (Fla.) Nature Coast (6-3, 190). High school quarterback hasn’t played much receiver, but has tremendous upside. Committed to Florida.

73. Jacoby Brissett, QB, West Palm Beach (Fla.) Dwyer (6-5, 225). Big dual-threat quarterback threw for 2,212 yards and 26 TDs as a junior. Considering offers from Clemson, Florida State, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and West Virginia.

74. Anthony Chickillo, DE, Tampa (Fla.) Alonso (6-3, 226). A strong pass rusher with a great motor. Florida and Miami lead Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Georgia Tech, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and South Florida.

75. Odell Beckham Jr., WR/CB, New Orleans (La.) Isidore Newman (5-10, 165). Fast enough to get deep, elusive enough to make defenders miss once he catches it. LSU leads Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Southern Miss, Memphis, Tulane and Tulsa.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed76. Donte Moncrief, WR, Raleigh (Miss.) (6-2, 203). A strong receiver with good ball skills, he’s adept at adjusting to passes in the air. Committed to Ole Miss.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed77. Jeremy Hill, RB, Baton Rouge (La.) Redemptorist (6-1, 220). Runs with power, great vision and enough speed to go the distance. Committed to LSU.

78. Shaq Anthony, OT, Piedmont (S.C.) Wren (6-4, 260). A technically sound pass blocker who can handle speed and brute strength off the edge. Committed to Clemson.

79. Jabari Gorman, DB, Miami (Fla.) Monsignor Pace (5-11, 170). Made 70 tackles and returned two of his three interceptions for TDs in ’09. Has narrowed his choices to Alabama, Miami, LSU and Ohio State.

80. Jordan Prestwood, OT, Plant City (Fla.) (6-6, 280). A converted tight end who could blossom into an elite tackle. Committed to Notre Dame.

81. Phillip Ely, QB, Tampa (Fla.) Plant (6-1, 186). Throws a tight, crisp ball and throws it well on the run. Passed for 1,860 yards and 20 TDs in ’09. Clemson, LSU, Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Wake Forest lead Arizona State, Iowa State, Michigan State, Rutgers, South Florida and Vanderbilt.

82. Cortez Davis, S/ATH, Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland (6-3, 200). Made seven picks in last two seasons and was also a weapon at WR on offense. Committed to Clemson.

83. Phillip Dukes, DT, Manning (S.C.) (6-3, 295). Recorded 50 tackles, including 10 for losses, and 6 sacks in ’09. Clemson leads Alabama, Auburn, LSU, North Carolina, North Carolina State, South Carolina and Duke.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed85. Jermaine Whitehead, CB, Greenwood (Miss.) Amanda Elzy (6-0, 183). Do-everything player racked up 17 total TDs on offense and made three interceptions on defense in ’09. Committed to Mississippi State.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed86. De’Ante Saunders, RB/DB, Deland (Fla.) (6-0, 180). A shifty, elusive runner who has a knack for finding the seams. Committed to Florida.

87. Kent Turene, LB, Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson (6-3, 230). Physical head-hunter racked up 120 tackles and 10 sacks in ’09. Committed to Southern Cal.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed88. Nick Marshall, ATH, Rochelle (Ga.) Wilcox County (6-2, 185). High school quarterback and basketball star will play in the secondary in Athens, expects to play both sports. Committed to Georgia.

89. Robensen Therezie, DB, Miami (Fla.) Jackson (5-10, 185). Nicknamed “Cadillac” after former Auburn star Carnell Williams, he’s run a sub-4.4 40. Miami leads Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Tennessee.

90. Cameron Clear, TE, Memphis (Tenn.) Central (6-5, 263). Caught 25 balls for 411 yards and also excelled at DE with 62 tackles and 12 sacks in ’09. Tennessee and Duke lead Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Louisville, Memphis and Middle Tennessee State.

91. Lonnie Gosha, DT, Lake Butler (Fla.) Union County (6-2, 270). Made 65 tackles and 13 sacks in ’09. Considering offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, North Carolina, Tennessee and UCLA.

92. Jerrard Randall, QB, Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade Madonna (6-2, 190). A speedy, elusive runner who can throw the deep ball with accuracy. Committed to Oregon.

93. Chris Jones, DB, Birmingham (Ala.) Minor (6-0, 185). Recorded 65 tackles and 6 interceptions as a junior. Florida leads Alabama, Notre Dame and Tennessee.

2011 SEC Football Recruit Committed100. Jabriel Washington, ATH, Jackson (Tenn.) Trinity Christian (5-11, 165). A do-everything player at a 1A school, he had more than 2,000 yards of total offense and 83 tackles and 2 picks on defense. Committed to Alabama.

101. Tacoi Sumler, WR, Miami (Fla.) Columbus (5-8, 150). A burner who has repeatedly posted 40 times in the sub-4.4 range. His final five are Oregon, Stanford, South Carolina, Wake Forest and Cincinnati.

102. Kyler Kerbyson, OL, Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic (6-5, 290). A nasty drive blocker with good feet in pass protection. His final four are Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and Duke.

103. Jeremy Cash, S, Plantation (Fla.) (6-2, 190). Strong against the run and on the blitz, he posted 96 tackles and 2 interceptions as a junior. Committed to Ohio State.

104. Darion Arrington, S/ATH, Wiggins (Miss.) Stone (6-1, 215). A physical safety who isn’t bashful about jumping up in the box, he also excels at RB. Mississippi State and Texas Tech lead Alabama, Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Memphis.

105. Shamier Jeffery, WR/ATH, St. Matthews (S.C.) Calhoun County (6-2, 195). The brother of South Carolina WR Alshon Jeffery doesn’t have elite speed, but is masterful at adjusting to passes in the air. Considering offers from Auburn, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia Tech and Kentucky.

108. Aaron Morris, OL, Jackson (Miss.) Callaway (6-5, 310). A mauler with a powerful upper body, may project best at guard. Ole Miss and Mississippi State lead Auburn, Louisiana Tech and Memphis.

109. Shon Carson, RB, Lake City (S.C.) (5-9, 185). A 4.4 speedster who doesn’t mind lowering the pads between the tackles, he’s also a potential pro baseball prospect. Considering offers from Alabama, South Carolina, Clemson, North Carolina, Florida State and East Carolina.

    HamDawg, I thought the same thing. We mentioned him in this article and then wrote a whole article about him. I don’t think his behavioral trouble wold remove him from the list. The only thing I can think is that Mike Herndon must not inlcude North Carolina as part of the south. There are kids from South Carolina & up to Kentucky on the list, but I don’t see any from NC.
