"recognizes the outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work."

Not seeing your point here. Quit using talking points, do some research, and form your own thoughts on the matter. Because it is obvious by your post (and lack of factual information) that you are just another sheep who follow the ramblings of others without regard to the pursuit of the truth.

To dumb my statement down for you, I just called you an idiot.
Now in the words of WC Fields "Go away kid, you bother me."

Thank you for playing.

Chase, maybe YOU should do some research. In fact, research should be a requisite at Alabama, since many of your championships were awarded decades after the season by researchers. How can you claim none of Alabama's titles were shared?
I remember the 1973 Sugar Bowl when Notre Dame beat Alabama for the national championship. It didn't matter to Alabama as the UPI had named them national championships before the even played for it. I'm sure Notre Dame would think their AP title for that year, along with all of the others would rate at least half of Alabama's title claim for that year.
I can also remember the 1964 title that you claim. Again, Alabama was named national championship before they played Texas in the Cotton Bowl. Texas beat Alabama in the bowl. Interestingly, Texas only has one loss that year, to Arkansas. Arkansas won their bowl game completing a perfect season and were named national champions AFTER the bowl game. Arkansas undefeated and untied, while Alabama had one loss, to a team Arkansas had beaten. You SURE that title isn't shared?
Need more? I have plenty of them.
Meanwhile, if Auburn used the same Bama logic in claiming national titles, we could claim eight. In fact, there is already talk of claiming 2004, since the AP and BCS don't have an awarded champion for that year, with the other sources awarding us the championship, we actually have more claim to the title than any other team. Here's Auburn's eight (By Bama standards) national titles.

1910 6–1 team (Loren Maxwell)
1913 undefeated 8–0 team (Billingsley, James Howell, 1st-N-Goal)
1914 undefeated 8–0–1 team (James Howell)
1957 undefeated 10–0 team (Associated Press, Billingsley, Fleming, Football Research, Helms, James Howell, Massey Ratings, National Championship Foundation, Nutshell Sports, Poling, Sagarin, Sorensen, Williamson, David Wilson)
1958 undefeated 9–0–1 team (Montgomery Full Season Championship)
1983 11–1 team (ARGH, Billingsley, DKC, Eck, FACT, Fleming, Football Research, James Howell, Massey Ratings, New York Times, Nutshell Sports, Sorensen, Sparks Achievement, David Wilson, 1st-N-Goal)
1993 undefeated 11–0 team (Harry Frye, National Championship Foundation, Nutshell Sports, Sparks Achievement, David Wilson)
2004 undefeated 13–0 team (Darryl W. Perry, EFI, FansPoll, GBE, Hank Trexler, M Cubed)

Jennifer? Seriously? The SEC has been tainted long before Cam even picked up his first football. Do some research on which team has had the most NCAA violations. I will give you a hint. It is from the state of Alabama, and it is not Auburn.
