Hurdle Friday: Auburn Gets Alabama, Boise Gets Those Football Crazed Nevada Fans

The BCS becomes more “controversial” as more than two teams remain undefeated is of course mostly around Boise State (and TCU) – The debate is mainly around whether or not they should get into the BCS Championship Game.  As we move towards the conclusion of the season, the Friday-after-Thanksgiving was billed as a major hurdle for three of the top four BCS teams.

Auburn had to go play Alabama in Tuscaloosa in front of 100,000 Alabama fans.  Alabama has a former Heisman trophy winner, numerous future NFL stars and a former NFL coach Nick Saban.  Ok, legitimate hurdle.

Boise State?  They have to play Nevada.  They’re lead by a quarterback that was drafted by the Chicago Cubs!!!  They must be tough right?  And, that stadium!  Is there a more terrifying place to play in all of college football?  In all the world?  You decide.  You can see the stadium below:

It seriously looks like a high school stadium. I’m glad that Boise State got beat. I’ve watched the SEC play, and I’ve watched Boise State play. There’s no way they should ever have even been considered a top team. After watching Alabama and Auburn play, and then watching the Boise State-Nevada game, it’s like putting the game action in slow motion. Almost any team in the SEC would have a field day with teams from that conference.
