Ole Miss Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli Ruled Ineligible; Ole Miss Will Appeal

The NCAA has ruled Jeremiah Masoli ineligible to play for the 2010 season. Masoli transferred from Oregon and was hoping to get a waiver from the NCAA to play for the Rebels this season. However, that likelihood has diminished. Ole Miss says it will appeal the ruling and an NCAA subcommittee will review the appeal. The subcommittee could take up to a week to announce the outcome of the appeal. The Masoli news came as a shock to Coach Houston Nutt and the Ole Miss program. Jeremiah Masoli led the Oregon Ducks to the Rose Bowl last season. You can read the whole story here.
