Hagerty is coached by Nate Gierke, who will coach against his father, Chip Gierke, for the first time. Edgewater is one of the top schools in Central Florida, and should be a force in the 6A playoffs.
This game will feature Florida commit and the #1 QB in the nation, Jeff Driskel who plays for Hagerty High. He is ranked the number 20 on the top football recruits in the southeast. Driskel will lead the Oviedo based high school, against one of the areas better defenses. Driskel is 6’4 and weighs in at 225, he has been clocked at 4.6 in the forty yard dash. Driskel also hopes to play baseball at Florida. At Hagerty, he plays center field and led his team in batting average (.350) and stolen bases (20).
