Saturday Down South names one player from each SEC team that figures to make a difference this weekend against their opponent:
Vanderbilt vs Georgia:
Warren Norman – The best running back for the Commodores who provides the spark needs to be fed the football against Georgia.
Aaron Murray – Murray will get his chances early and often against the Vanderbilt defense. He likes to spread the football around, but he will especially look to get it to his dynamic receiver A.J. Green.
Arkansas vs Auburn:
Joe Adams – Auburn’s defense isn’t the best. Ryan Mallett will look for Joe Adams throughout in this one. Adams has the chance to have a big game. I just like the way Arkansas matches up in this one.
Cameron Newton – Did you guess this one? Newton looks to pound the rock some more against an average defense. I think Newton will be forced to throw the football a little bit more in this game.
South Carolina vs Kentucky:
Marcus Lattimore – Lattimore has really stepped into his own as a freshman and leads the Gamecocks on the ground.
Randall Cobb – I was going to give Derrick Locke the nod, but since he is questionable, I’ll go with the all-SEC standout – do-it-all-yourself Randall Cobb.
Mississippi State vs Florida:
Vick Ballard – Ballard is among the leaders in the SEC in scoring. The only problem will be getting there for the Bulldogs.
Andre Debose – Now is the time for the Florida offensive staff to use this kid. He has dynamic speed and athletic ability.
LSU vs McNeese State:
Jarrett Lee – Lee looks to be the best quarterback for the Tigers. Look for him to get most of the playing time and numbers in this one.
Alabama vs Ole Miss:
Jeremiah Masoli – Masoli has had a good year and I think he will have to be dynamic for the Rebels if they have any shot in this one.
Mark Ingram – Ingram has been held somewhat accountable for the last two weeks. I look for him to break out this weekend against Ole Miss.
