Join Our Twitter Conversation During SEC Football Games
Tomorrow night we kick off the first SEC matchup of the season with Auburn at Mississippi State.
We have been busy in website code world getting everything ready on our website to launch a twitter platform that allows us to communicate with all of you during the game. Help spread the word about this throughout the twitter universe.
To join us, simply use the hashtag of #SDSgameday in your tweets during the game. The homepage on our site will pull those tweets together to form a conversation that will appear where our featured article usually shows up. It’s easier than an online chat.
While you are logged into Twitter, make sure you follow us @SatDownSouth
For those of you that are new to this whole tweeting and hashtag thing, here is a little diagram:
As you can see, twitter creates links when a word is prefaced by a # sign. Those links are called hashtags and they run a search for all tweets using the particular hashtag. It is the way the twitter community discovered to group messages by a common subject or category.
That’s all there is to it.
So, whenever you are watching a SEC football game, share your thoughts with us using #SDSgameday in your tweets and you will make it onto our website.
