Why even bother with the bandwidth to post this? The AP poll is irrelevant.
Certainly agree with previous post. And the proof of toddtaylor’s assertion is in the fact that the AP voters dropped Alabama to 4th after a positive demonstration of relatively equal strength on the playing field.
I guess strength of schedule or quality wins mean nothing. Arkansas should be at number 5 after the So. Carolina Game. This is obviously the Pac12 and the Big 12 jockeying for position. The AP is meaningless. Boise State and their cupcake schedule? A win over UNLV versus a win over So.Carolina. Hey Boise State, So. Carolina beat Georgia recently and Georgia is the only real team you have played all year to claim any kind of ranking. Oklahoma lost to Texas Tech an unranked team, and Oregon moved ahead of Arkansas based upon what the hype for the upcoming game with Stanford? Certainly not a win over a top 10 team. Boise State would be a middle of the pack three loss team in any of the three major conferences.Hopefully, the BCS rankings will be more realistic and not just what the sportswriters wish to embellish their blogs.
This is where the system proves its broken. Can Stanford or Ok st beat Alabama? No. Boise doesn’t move cause it had weak schedule and we know Oregon can’t beat LSU. Arkansas is stuck behind a team that lost to a one show wonder. Maybe to them all this makes sense but to me, NOT. They just knew that the NC was going be the winner of LSU, Alabama and Ok, that would sell. People would pay, now they are banking on ok beating ST and still needing a powehouse to play LSU.Stanford, Oregon, or Boise ain’t cutting it. So the big brains are in overtime trying to cover their a double s’s. Sure would be nice to throw top 10 in a elimination match, somehow figure out who top 2 are and let them play for national championship. We could call it something snazzy like oh, PLAYOFF!
Alabama should be #2. None of the teams in the top 15 would be there if they had to play a SEC West Schedule.
arkansas does play an sec west schedule
I do not follow the AP poll because it does not matter. Its just thier own opinion and dont mean crap.I should start my own poll web site and rake in some cash from adds myself.
