Will Muschamp and his Florida Gators coaching staff have to be excited about this one. 6-5, 255-pound Colin Thompson decided Thursday to become the 10th player of the Gators’ recruiting class, choosing Florida over the Wisconsin Badgers.
Recruiting analysts consistently list Thompson as one of the top-3 tight ends in the country, and some go as far as listing him as the #1 pro-style tight end, meaning he’s the top of the line when it comes to being able to block in the run game and catch in the passing game.
Best of all for Gator fans, Thompson said that he plans on being completely finished with his recruitment after this commitment. Rest easy, fans, you got a good one.
