If MSU could get wins over Auburn and LSU within 5 days of each other…WOW… Talk about a MONSTER start to the season.

I agree on Arkansas. Not only is their defense questionable, but losing Knile Davis has to be a huge factor. I’m not saying they can’t get it done on offense, but having a possible Heisman contender at running back really helps open up the passing game. That loss hurts…With that being said, MSU always has a tough time with Hogs, no matter what the circumstances….I think the Jordan Jefferson thing at LSU is a distraction for sure, but I actually believe Lee is the better quarterback. The Sheppard loss could be the big factor there….The Auburn game is huge for us. If MSU wins that one, they’ll be fired up for that home opener against LSU…Alabama will be brutal. The one good thing for the Dawgs is the fact that they always seem to pull off an upset over Bama every few years….By the way…find me a chick with your football passion and send her with Ashley next time!

Hey Todd! I agree with you and I believe State will be in 2nd or 1st in the West at the end of the season . Arkansas is overated every year especially at defense. Example: Arkansas @ Auburn 2010 game, this game was hard to watch and very boring. There was no defense on either side of the ball and this year their defense will be NO better. LSU has been very lucky with Les Miles, I think this year they have alot of problems starting too close to the start of the season. LSU may prove me wrong they always seem to, but I think they struggle early this season and that could benefit Mississippi State. Mississippi State and Alabama is the biggest trap game of the year for me. Just depends on who wants it most. Gonna be a great season, Roll Tide!!!!

I think Arkansas wins even though we played them tough last year. Their back up QB was great against Auburn.
I wish we could go 12-0 but the west is to tough so I don’t think anybody will in the SEC west. I would however think Christmas came early if we beat LSU. Todd I think you hit this one on the head.

Did you notice last year when we beat Georgia at home we havent beaten them since the 70s or 80s we almost beat yall with Ryan Mallet and yall have a new QB. Thats just my counterarguement

It seems like Arkansas and LSU are always the hardest wins for MSU to come by…I do feel pretty good about the LSU game this year, though.

The 2 of the 3 wins between Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas, the Bulldogs chances are better with Alabama and LSU. Arkansas has other capable running backs besides Knile Davis. This may be Arkansas’ best team ever. The Hogs are 11-1 in the last 12 games against MSU. Mississippi State has never beat the Razorbacks in the state of Arkansas, much less War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, the site of this years game, which is considerably tougher than Fayetteville. Should be a good game, and I’m glad it’s not in Starkville!
