If there was indeed a “hold”, it occurred when Rainey was already half-way to the punter. The “hold” made no difference in the outcome of the play.

im not a FL fan but How is that cheating? if it was cheating the ref would have called holding.

eh…kinda dirty but as long as my guys get away with it too I wouldnt have too much of an issue…and yeah the up-back really folded like a cheap tent! I mean I know Rainey is fast but Damn!

That definitely looked penalty-worthy, but the scary part for me was watching the upback completely miss Rainey running in. You have to know where Rainey’s coming from on any punt situation.

Punt teams have done that since the 80s. If the upback would have picked him up , they would not have blocked the punt. All you could get them for is holding and holding happens every play and you almost never see it called on defense because you are allowed to use your hands to throw off your blocker. So bottom line is the upback missed his read block so go after him, not Florida.

That’s a clear penalty in the Tennessee game, but no in the FAU game. Just because it happens once, doesn’t necessarily indicate that it’s a continual thing. Maybe I’ll go dig up older clips and look for a pattern, but one instance does not a pattern make.

Welp, you can’t fault Joker for trying but I dont think it looks like they are cheating. A coach can try to put some doubt in there to maybe encourage a flag on a play in this week’s game.
