Mississippi State will be taking on ACC-foe Wake Forest in the Music City Bowl on December 30th at 6:30 PM ET.
Record: 6-6 in the ACC
NCAA Rank
Rushing Offense: 96th (118.9)
Passing Offense: 36th (255.6)
Points For: 62nd (26.8)
Points Against: 70th (27.8)
How did they fair in big games? Wake Forest played three ranked opponents in Florida State, Virginia Tech and Clemson. In those games, Wake only beat Florida State and lost the other two. But they were competitive in both.
Major Players: Wake quarterback Tanner Price has thrown for 2,803 yards and 20 touchdowns on the year, completing 60.9 percent of his passes. Wide receiver Chris Givens has been Price’s main target, as he has caught 74 passes for 1,276 yards and nine touchdowns this season. Senior safety Cyhl Quarles is leading the team with 96 total tackles.
Best Matchup: I want to see Mississippi State’s rushing offense against Wake’s rushing defense. Chris Relf, Vick Ballard, LaDarius Perkins and company should have a field day against this particular ACC defense.
Interesting Tidbit: The Demon Deacons were spanked by the Vanderbilt Commodores 41-7 just a week and a half ago. They could get spanked again by another SEC opponent when Mississippi State brings its vaunting rushing attack into the Music City Bowl.

Hail State!
