It’s been a good weekend in Kentucky as head coach Joker Phillips announced before the Kentucky-Georgia basketball game on Saturday that Tee Martin will be staying with the Wildcats next season despite a pitch from Nick Saban and Alabama. Martin was also promoted to the position of Passing Game Coordinator and signals a significant victory in terms of perception for the Kentucky program.
The interest from Alabama is probably only the start of what will become a yearly occurrence as teams from around the country try to lure away one of the rising stars in the coaching ranks.
In other news, Rivals has reported that three-star athlete Bubba Tandy from Christian Count High School in Hopkinsville, KY will announce his college choice on National Signing Day (Wednesday). Tandy visited Kentucky this weekend was told by the coaching staff that they would like to see him step into a Randall Cobb type roll as a do-it-all offensive weapon.
Wednesday is lining up to be one of the biggest days in the history of Kentucky Football with the potential of landing three big time recruits from inside the state. So as we count down the minutes to decisions form Tandy, Lamar Dawson and Jon Davis, take a look at this video of Tandy in action.
