They will no doubt be better next year, but most Vol fans realize that 2012 is the year that they will most likely be battling for the top of the SEC East, if not 2013 (when we get Florida and Bama at home again). Next year's schedule screams out 7-5 (way too early to tell for sure), but Dooley has shown the ability to be in every game (even when we shouldn't be) and has not shown a propensity to lose games he shouldn't. This make me feel like we'll probably win one we shouldn't, but will that make us 7-5, 8-4 or 9-3 next year. Very much looking forward to next season either way. Hopefully he keeps our commitments, brings in a great S&C coach (Tommy Moffitt : ) ????) and we don't lose any players to knucklehead activity (JJ?) before next season. GBO!

I hope yesterday's commitment is a sign of the type of recruiting that is to follow. They are so young in so many positions that experience, time, and that simple molding from the guidance of a great coach is in dire need. It will be interesting to see if any of these things develop in the off season prior to spring practice with the focus being placed on recruiting. I am hoping for some individual ambition, drive, and effort take root in each player this winter. Oh, and this writer is known for his chick magnetism, Scindy.

Good point Rob. Vols picked up a good recruit yesterday and if they keep their verbals on the line they'll be alright. O-line maturation is alot like a fine wine... or good Tennessee Whiskey, it just takes time.

Just FYI, UT won't be bullies for at least 2 more seasons, and that's giving them some credit, I go to school here and the only reason they even produced this year was because they had some veteran weapons, if Dooley can manage to continue recruiting decently though, it could be promising, it's just going to take time, more time than most Vol fans are willing to give to their team.
