Deadspin has released what they say is the photo of the marine that LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson allegedly kicked in the face. Kicking someone in the face isn’t good. Kicking a marine in the face is worse, and if the marine was only involved to help defend a guy getting beat up by football players, it is even worse.

This one will be interesting to see how it plays out. If this is true, then I wouldn’t be opposed to some serious punishments for Jefferson and any others involved.
You spin it as if it is most definitely true. All facts should be heard before any judgments are made in this case. There are several other rumors circulating regarding this “All American Marine” in a negative light in life and on that night.

We are out of state fans, so do tell about the rumors please. Also, as huge LSU fans we also know that other teams would love for this to lead to major punishment on LSU’s part and Jefferson. The fact remains, a lot of people in “certain” states, “certain” fans could push for such a situation to cause problems. I also have a huge question about no video surfacing. I have 4 boys, all of which video things on ipods and phones. The ages of the people who would have been at this bar, someone should have a phone video of the fight. I have video’s of fights from high school from my kids… I say, we still live in a country where innocent until proven guilty….. BTW, I also thought Marine’s should be able to take out someone with a rock……
Marriane I’m also shocked that a video has yet to surface. Video doesn’t lie and is the only way to get the entire story. Tell your boys about Bideo. If they catch something powerful (aka newsworthy) on film, instead of giving it away they can upload it to Bideo.com and publications (and/or – depending on the nature of the vid – Jefferson’s attorney) to bid on it.
Thanks, I will tell them. My oldest goes to the largest high school in the state of Texas, I probably DON’T want to know what goes on in that place!! But thanks! I think the lack of video is “Shady” (LOL) in itself. I hate that if this whole situation was brought on by total haters and crap that the team and coaches are having to endure all of this. It’s just sad. We bleed purple and gold, and now my kids in Texas are being approached at school by teachers as they sport the colors they love (LSU CLOTHES) asking why did our team do this. Just another reason for people to be haters!!!!
Are you serious? Have any of you ever been in a real fight or a bar fight? Video Proof??? What a joke it is that now everything is supposed to be proved by a video and you both are shocked there is no video proof. If you ever been in many bar fights or any fights where people are around, you would know that usually a fight will only last seconds to only a couple minutes at most. So now a marine that is getting kicked in the face is supposed to be recording it or make sure someone is recording it for him. Most people there could have been Tiger fans that bleed purple and gold like you and may not reveal the any video recording of it. This report does not prove anything ,but it does bring another viewpoint into the picture and you should not discredit it automatically just because you are LSU fans. They shouldn’t have been there in the first place and if it was the NFL with Roger Goodell they would have been suspended. Just face the reality.
Why would a person, anyone, kick someone in the face is beyond me?
Also, maybe the Florida mug shot of this kid should be circulated also.
I’m not saying it’s true at all. Deadspin is the one reporting this photo. I know nothing about the Marine, but please share his mug shot if you have it.
We all hope that all the implications about Jordan Jefferson and this fight are not true whatsoever. BUT if it is true, this is bad stuff. I hope for everyone’s sake it is not.

Assuming this is him, the statute listed ( http://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes/index.cfm?mode=View%20Statutes&SubMenu=1&App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=812.014&URL=CH0812/Sec014.HTM ) is petit theft (petty theft), the “Charge” listed is “RT” which I assume is retail theft, and this is from when he was 18. The fact that he is now a Marine, would indicate that the charges were either dropped, or were not a big enough deal to keep him out of the Marines.
I understand that you’re a LSU loyalist of some sort, but this is really a stretch, in an effort to discredit a Marine who was kicked in the face, if not by Jefferson, certainly by someone.

This photo has been around since the day after the fight. They guy was not in uniform, so the fact that he is a Marine is not pertinent to the discussion. And there are also witnesses who are saying that Jefferson wasn’t even involved in the fight, as well as saying that the “victim” was the agressor. Also, reportedly there is video (inside the bar) that is unflattering to the victim. There is a lot of stuff to be sorted out, but in the end this thing appears to be heading to the graveyard of most bar related fight investigations- file 13.
Royce, I’m all for finding out the facts, but it’s hilarious that you do THE SAME THING by attempting to disparage the Marine without any facts. If you had any reading comprehension, you could recognize such words as ‘allegedly’, and ‘if’. Only @ LSU! You give LSU fans a bad name, even as your precious tigers start their downward spiral in the PRE season.
Jefferson is already guilty in my mind. Good thing we don’t live in the United States of Michael.

That ‘marine’ got kicked out of Shady’s twice for going insane on his ex girlfriend that night. When the players stopped him the second time he slapped one and then waited for them to come out after he got some friends to come help. He then got out of his truck, confronted them when they left, and got his ass handed to him.
You know, allegedly and stuff.
Posting rumors? Everyone is posting rumors because this story is all over the place. I just hope it is not true, and it all just goes away.
It’s not. The problem is that this scumbag once he got his ass kicked figured he needed to come up with the story first. Now we’ve got sites like this running with it like it’s the truth simply because it’s the version that’s been out there from the beginning.
Guess why? Because that’s the one he told.
You watch… This is not going to turn out like that story implies. And Jefferson is not going to get an apology from places like this who are ruining his reputation for something he likely didn’t even do because he can’t give the details of it.

Too late for whoever snapped this one, but anybody who has other video or photos associated with this incident should put it into auction on Bideo.com immediately. This is a huge story.. ESPN and other publications will buy images taken that night for enough money to put you through med school. Twice. Do not give it away!
Ok I Have Been Reading The Comments On This Fight And Some Of Them Are Just Straight BS. For One If You Wasn’t There Then Shut Your Mouth And Wait For All The Evidence And Real Statements To Surface. Second People Calling LSU A Thug Program Because Of A Fight? So You Telling Me If Your School Was Fighting It Wouldn’t Be A Thug Program? Third So What If The Guy Was A Marine For One He Wasn’t In Uniform Second He Got His Ass Handed To Him By A College Football Player. Cause it’s like totally OK and all in the LSU program for the players to go out and get into fights in bars, you know, if they weren’t STARTING the fight, because you know the rest of humanity goes around fighting in bars regularly. If the program was worth a crap, then these guys would be off the team, period end of story, for just BEING IN THE SITUATION, when they should have just left at the first sign of trouble.

Yeah, I’ll wait until all the facts are in. The military deserves are respect but, just like every other group of people, there are bad apples in the mix. I agree kicking in the face is out of line, but if the marine started it, then he should’ve gotten his ass kick. Let’s stop assuming that, just because he’s a marine, he’s above reproach. At my age, I’ve seen plenty of military folks that were pretty reprehensible.

Please somebody tell me this kid is dreaming: I can’t imagine JJ kicking his ass and leaving him standing to tell about it. I respect our Troops but some of these kids that enlist are so damned cocky they think they can take on the World. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’d taunted JJ and the rest of the bunch. I’ll hold my judgements until such time as there’s more proof that the deed was done by JJ or not. Still shaking my head in disbelief.

IF the charges are true, Jefferson should be in prison instead of playing college football. The Marines fight for the right for him to play football in a free country. Anyone that would kick someone in the face is a THUG. When a young man is given the opportunity to play MAJOR college football he should be expected to BEHAVE for 4 years. My God! and I don’t say this because he plays for LSWHO, I felt the same way about the BAMA players that did the same kind of things before Saban got there! “ROLL TIDE”
If Miles doesn’t suspend these guys he has no character or class as a head coach. Name another coach in the SEC that would not suspend them, except for maybe Chizik.

Razorback fan,can’t tell that he is a marine,so he might have been acting like one,that could cause a fight…under any circumstance they all guilty because they let it escalate out of control.
