If you follow college football, you probably know ESPN’s Bruce Feldman. The guy is a stud when it comes to college football, and has an outstanding reputation amongst fans and his fellow journalists.
Reportedly, ESPN has suspended Feldman due to his participation in former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach’s autobiography. The screwy part is that apparently Feldman received permission from ESPN to be a part of the project!
Big writers like Sports Illustrated’s Stewart Mandel are leading the charge on defending Bruce Feldman:
This is a pretty interesting situation, and will likely demonstrate the power of the “internet mob.” As for Feldman himself, I don’t think he has anything to worry about. If his career with ESPN ends, it sounds like any number of major companies would snatch him up in a second. You could argue that this will actually be good for his career as the buzz about Bruce Feldman increases.
