I expected Auburn to win this one when i first saw it, but with all of the stats laid out I can’t argue the result.

I have Florida winning this game as well. They were very good at both corner and run-defense. i think they would limit Cam Newton, and I just feel their offense would have shredded Auburn’s defense. It would indeed be a dream matchup.

However, all year, teams tried to limit Newton and no one stopped him…

That’s not my fault or the fault of the Alabama fan base. Blame the NCAA for those previous rules. Just stop with your conspiracy theories. I’m not blinded by ignorant hatred like you and many other barners. Auburn went 14-0 and won the Title and I won’t try to take that away. I never once said anything bad about Auburn winning the Title. You’re just paranoid and think big bad Bama is out to get you.

Why can’t you just be happy with the Title? All I see from you barners (not all) is ignorant comments about Alabama and their National Titles. I didn’t see LSU do that after they won the 2003 and 2007 National Title, so why do you barners have to do it?

You’re not impressing anyone and you’re not original with your repetitive insults towards Alabama. This is 2011 and Auburn is defending the Title, worry about that little brother.

Well, wait no further. This is a good exercise, and the article expresses one person’s view of how the game would play out, kinda like how national championships used to be won, by opinion polls instead of on the field. If it gives you the warm fuzzies to now consider the 2010 Auburn team to be 14-1, enjoy!!! On the field they’re still 14-0.

I’m not exactly sure how Rolondo McClain ended up in Auburn’s star players. McClain was a linebacker for the 2009 Alabama team, not Auburn. Sorry for any confusion.

Dadgum, what a matchup! You could sell out a stadium in a heartbeat for this one.

And talk about research: those are some mighty persuasive statistics. I can’t think of a single relevant stat Myers left out except maybe shoe and helmet sizes! Oh yeah, just thought of one: Bible verses on eyeblack…..Advantage Gators…

The game scenario was believable and so well written you can see the game unfold in your mind’s eye. I was actually feeling some suspense as i read it. I love that the stay-ahead TD for the Gators was caught by a tight end. Nice touch!

On any given Saturday, either of these teams would beat the other. I don’t think one can conclusively decide a true winner.
