South Carolina escapes in Starkville 14-12 because Alshon Jeffery went up and made a great grab to score the go-ahead touchdown for the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Coming into this game, Gamecock fans and Steve Spurrier knew this would be a tough win in Starkville.

However, the fact that South Carolina escaped with a late touchdown against Mississippi State isn’t the biggest story of the day. Star running back Marcus Lattimore went down with an apparent knee injury, and he left the game on crutches and in noticeable pain.
We hope is okay.
South Carolina and Georgia look to be the two teams to watch in the East right now, but both teams have to play Florida still. So, Florida controls its own destiny.
