Kiehl Frazier had a mixed performance against Arkansas. In the ground game, his runs were reminiscent of Cam Newton in 2010, but in the passing game, he’s got a ways to go. Frazier had two interceptions on the night.
Check out Frazier’s impressive touchdown run:
As you can see in the below clips, his interceptions were pretty ugly, but the future is very bright for Frazier at Auburn – especially if Gus Malzahn sticks around.
Auburn has some great young talent and I expect we’ll continue to see Malzahn and the coaches develop Frazier as the year continues.

Auburn has tried to bring Frazier along slowly, but I think the future is evident, and it may come sooner rather than later. Frazier does have a lot of work to do as far as staring down his receivers and telegraphing his throws, and I think it’s a shame he didn’t take the opportunity to enroll early. If he had enrolled early, I honestly feel he’d be the starter by now, if he hadn’t been at the beginning of the season.
Frazier is the prototypical QB for the Gus Malzahn system, and he’ll eventually flourish at the helm of the offense, but he’s a diamond in the rough right now.
This is going to be awesome for the future of the Auburn Tigers, Gus Malzahn, and the administative staff of Auburn University. And the best part about it is that it will not cost the Athletic Dept. in the excess of $180,000 like they dished out to Cecil Newton.
I know something doesn’t have to be true for some people to keep repeating it, but here’s a news flash for you. The NCAA has sent Auburn a letter detailing the end of their investigation, and no major infractions were found. So put that in your pipe and smoke it. I know one isn’t coming anyway, but apologies accepted.
