Trent Richardson Carries Alabama, Again

It sounds like a broken record, but what Trent Richardson is doing this year for Alabama on offense is absolutely fantastic. Richardson once again showed why he is a top three Heisman candidate with his physical performance against Mississippi State last night.

Alabama went on to beat the Bulldogs 24-7.

Richardson carried the ball a career-high 32 times for 127 yards and a touchdown. He also added two catches for 26 yards. He took over the game late in the fourth quarter to eventually help run out the clock.

RICHARDSON’S RUN FOR 25 YARDS:

Mississippi State’s game plan of stopping Richardson and making AJ McCarron beat them worked for most of the night, and it really gave them a chance to stay in the football game. But Alabama’s defense was just too dominant.

Richardson is the offense right now for Alabama because the passing offense cannot get anything done, and AJ McCarron was exposed last week against LSU. Team’s will continue to make McCarron beat them moving forward, certainly in the bowl game – whoever that might be.

While the passing offense is the weak point, the rushing offense could not be better with the combination of a stout offensive line with Richardson and Eddie Lacy.

  1. Comment of the game right on that second video. “And the game. is. now. o-ver.” It was pretty funny. Dogs played a great game, and you gotta give it to their defense as well. They’ve been pretty close in every game this year.

  2. By the end of the 4th quarter, there were more people on stage with the Miami Sound Machine than Mississippi State fans in the stadium.

  3. Was outside of the stadium enjoying the tailgating walking and talking when out of nowhere cowbell in my face and getting called a F@#KER GOTTA LOVE SEC SATURDAYS!!!

  4. Richardson is the next ADP…No doubt in my mind
