This would upset me if they were merely destroying it as some sort of anti-Crimson Tide stunt. However, this does not upset me because 1) there are numerous hats worn by Bear still in existence, 2) it allows fans to own a piece of something actually connected to him, and 3) it’s being done in a way that allows each piece to be displayed with pride. Since there are no more signatures to be had or pictures to be taken, this is a respectful way to allow fans to have something from the Bear.
