How is that the Outland Trophy winner for being the best offensive lineman of the year is not on Yahoo’s All American list?
3 All Americans from the Pac-12 and 10 from the SEC…Brock Huard is right Pac-12 is knocking on the door.
How do you leave Barrett Jones and Courtney Upshaw off this list?
It’s probably hard to pick between Upshaw and Hightower, both those guys are studs.
What’s an All-America team without Jarvis Jones and Orson Charles? ESPN’s version gave way more respect to the SEC: http://espn.go.com/ncf/feature/video/_/id/7324158/2011-all-america-team
How in the heck is the best PR in the nation…Joe Adams…not on here??? Led the nation in PR for TD and yards per PR average!!!
This all-american team is crap! How do you leave off Joe Adams as PR and Barrett Jones on the O-Line?! Jones won the Outland Trophy, and Adams led the nation in punt returns for TD. CRAPOLA!
I agree with most of the posters above. The defensive line alone should have been populated with nothing but SEC guys. In fact, sorry to the other teams, but this is an example….If LSU and Alabama are so full of NFL prospects and are the top two defenses, then shouldn’t there be more of them on the first team? Just insane that no d linemen from either team are on this list.
the freshman all-american team should be just as interesting.
How can Joe Adams be left off this list? I mean, his punt return average was better than the (sarcastic) honey badger. Damn!
Go Cocks! #TeamSuperMelvin #GoonSquad
yea Courtney Upshaw was a finalist for 2 awards like Hightower, which is why neither one it. I guess if they had a 34 D instead 43 Upshaw makes it. Like others stated as well it’s bogus Barrett didn’t make it OL and how does Brockers (i believe his name) for LSU not make it at DT or Sam Montgomery? Both are probably the 2 best at their position. I wouldnt even have RG3 the QB. He shouldnt have won the Heisman either. Either Richardson, Ball, or Mathieu should have. RG3 played against 4 top 55 defenses, the best was Texas. That tells you what kind of defenses they have in the Big 12-2. Either Luck or Barkley should have been the QB.
