On a night where Georgia’s defense slept walked into Lexington, Aaron Murray came to play. The junior quarterback broke the UGA career touchdown passing record, and he had a stellar night.
Murray completed 30 of 38 passes (79 percent) for 427 yards and four touchdowns. And more importantly, Georgia stayed in the Eastern division race with the underwhelming 29-24 win. But Murray is more concerned about winning than breaking records.
“I wasn’t told about the record until after game, and that’s something I wasn’t even worried about,” Murray said. “My focus is on making corrections to get ready to go for next week.”
Georgia outgained Kentucky 504 to 329 yards of total offense, thanks to Murray and his cast of wide receivers.
Here are three of those touchdown passes:
Murray 22-yard TD pass
Murray 10-yard TD pass
Murray 66-yard TD pass
