There’s plenty of speed to burn at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

Surprisingly, most of college football’s top speedsters, thus far, aren’t from the Southeastern Conference.

According to full, official results posted by NFL.com, the Atlantic Coast Conference has six of the top ten fastest times recorded in the 40-yard dash. Miami’s Travis Benjamin, Stanford’s Chris Owusu and Georgia Tech’s Stephen Hill, all wide receivers, tore up the turf with times of 4.36. A hair off of those impressive runs was Illnois’ A.J. Jenkins and Fresno State’s Devon Wylie at 4.39.

Rounding out the top ten are two more Hurricanes, Lamar Miller (RB) and Brandon Streeter (WR) followed by N.C. State’s T.J. Graham and Wake Forest’s Chris Givens. Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III was the fastest quarterback and 10th quickest overall, coming in with a 4.41.

The SEC’s fastest recorded player is Arkansas’ Jarius Wright at 4.42. Florida’s Chris Rainey has the combine’s best time in the 3-cone shuttle at 6.50, the 20-yard shuttle (3.93) and the 60-yard shuttle (11.06).

  1. This was written based on times of WRs/QBs. Not DBs. Plenty of SEC DBs in Top 10.
