The Alabama Crimson Tide are your 2012 National Champions.

Alabama’s defense stifled LSU in their 21-0 route over the Tigers. The Crimson Tide saved their best game for last, and the Tigers did not have an offensive answer the whole game.

Nick Saban’s game plan was absolutely brilliant, and LSU certainly didn’t have their best offensive showing by any means. Nevertheless, you cannot take away anything from Alabama.

Alabama kicked five field goals and Trent Richardson scored on a 34-yard touchdown to put the nail in the coffin late in the game. LSU had five total first downs.

We’ll have more reaction and analysis in the next few days…

  1. There will be many who will say that Alabama should not have been there in the first place. To them I would say: Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha! Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Congrats to the coaching staff & players on an outstanding performance in the limelight on the big stage. Didn’t someone once say that DEFENSE wins championships?! Roll Tide! See ya again next year…

  3. Bama had the better team overall in the first game, and proved it with the second.

  4. Congrats to the tide. We were out played and completely out coached. Ur guys played like champs.

Glad we get to start with fresh new qb’s next year as well as retain tons of talent. Geaux tigers.

    • Classy response.

    • Very Classy! And congrats to your tigers on an amazing season!

    • I’m gonna go at this from a different angle…. The SEC went 6-3 in bowls this season. And one of those losses was unavoidable! Almost all the SEC teams made us proud this year! Even Vandy! Congrats to my in-state brethren, Auburn, for finishing strong! So Carolina, Florida, & Mississippi State! All handled their bowl games well! Arkansas handled K St like the champs they are! It’s kind of unfortunate the #3(in my oppinnion) team in the country has to be in the same division as #1 & 2! But I’m sure you’ll have something for us next year when we come to visit! Lastly, to our newest members Texas A & M and Missouri…. Congrats on your bowl wins. And Welcome to the SEC! This time next year you may be regreting your decision to join!(j/k)

Dustin, thank you for your class. Someone once said that you tell what a man is made of not by how they handle victory. But by how they handle defeat. LSU had a GREAT regular season. But last night in all the close-ups they showed of Jefferson, he looked like a deer in headlights.

Now…. To the rest of the world…. The SEC Haters…..
GET USED TO IT! Cause we ain’t going away any time soon!

      Oh…. 1 more thing…..
      ROOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL TIDE! ROLL!

  5. Congrats to Alabama. You truly deserve the title of National Champs. My LSU Tigers were dominated by the Tide the entire game. It wasn’t even close! Both teams had a great season. Unfortunately, only one went all the way.

    • As an Alabama fan, I was having flashbacks to November 5th… thinking that Les Miles would put in Jarrett Lee and screw up BAMA’s defensive scheme. For whatever reason, he decided to leave Jefferson in. STILL, I couldn’t relax until Richardson scored that TD. After that, I could breathe a little easier.

LSU is an AMAZING team and is filled with talent. I give them all the respect in the world. They played like champions all season and, in my eyes, are co-champions with BAMA. I can’t wait until next season!

  6. Why LSU did not put Lee in will remain one of the mysteries of my life. AL was no doubt the elite team. They were well prepared and well coached. That block Richardson threw was unbelievable! I love SEC football, even though last nights game became boring, there is no denying the physicality of it. I was sorry to see the injuries; no telling what the score would have been if Maze hadn’t been injured!

  7. Wow! I’m actually surprised and over-joyed after reading these comments. We’re all a big family when it comes down to it, you know, with all these sibling rivalries. We’ll give each other a black eye every once-in-a-while, but we challenge each other to play at a higher level than the rest of the country. One thing never changes… WE ARE THE SEC! Smash-mouth, big boy football at it’s finest! 6 in a row… and soon to be 7!

    • You got that right! We are the SEC Family. And as family, we can fight. But if ya ain’t family, you better not mess with ANY of us!

      • I just wish these classless fans would get it. I mean, we’re all fans of the same things, just in different colors. It isn’t personal, it’s usually geographical. I grew up a tiger fan, my kids are tiger fans, my parents and grand parents are tiger fans. It’s in my blood. That does not make anyone’s opinion or heritage better or worse, just different. I have a great respect for all SEC teams and the fact that any given Saturday any team can lose and any team can win. There is no reason why we cannot respect anyone and call it like we see it.

  8. ohhhhhh man! first off congrats to Bama! yall played a hell of a game. i hate to say it but i wasn’t surprised with the outcome. i knew that if Miles would come out running the same option run offense Bama would shut it down. and they shut that shit out! you have to switch it up on a squad like Bama. it was the same play calls they ran in the first meeting and they were ready for it! cant be scared to take chances with our other player when the system your running isn’t working at all!

i can go on and on but just wanted to come here and say congrats Bama. great game!

    Geaux Tigers and Geaux SEC!
