Alabama, Georgia move up in latest AP poll

NEW: Follow on facebook -

With the losses of the top 2 teams in last week’s AP poll, we have some big changes at the top of the AP poll – changes that are very favorable to the SEC.

The new top 25 is:

1. Notre Dame
2. Alabama
3. Georgia
4. Ohio State
5. Oregon
6. Florida
7. Kansas State
8. LSU
9. Texas A&M
10. FSU
11. Stanford
12. Clemson
13. South Carolina
14. Oklahoma
15. UCLA
16. Oregon State
17. Nebraska
18. Texas
19. Louisville
20. Michigan
21. Rutgers
22. Oklahoma State
23. Kent State
24. N. Illinois
25. Utah State

Assuming Georgia and Alabama take care of business next week, we will have a top 3 showdown in Atlanta as a national title play-in game. It doesn’t get any better than that.

UGA will destory Bama in the dome. Bama fans are just going to be shocked because they don’t take us seriously!

    • Jake…. If UGA’s whole team shows up, it’ll be one HELLOVA game! Most of us UA fans do take UGA seriously. You’ve got one of(if not the) best defensive players in college football. One of the top 10 QBs in CF. The question has never been the quality of talent at Georgia. It’s been the inconsistency.

Georgia fan that agrees with you 100%. I believe if Georgia as a “TEAM” shows up and plays the way their capable of the can win ( unlike so many I’m not foolish enough to
guarantee a win just the chance for one.) Also hats off to you for your civil disagreement, so many, on both sides seem incapable of that these days.

    • As a Georgia fan, I’m still very aware of our record against Top 25 opponents over the last 3 to 4 years. Knowing that, the last thing I could do is guarantee a win over Bama. Any Dawg fan who does that knowing our inconsistency and Richt’s inability to inspire our team at times is just stupid.

  3. As in a few past years, the national Championship will be decided in the SEC Championship game!
