The Alabama-Auburn rivalry always brings to us interesting stories whether it is poisoning trees or putting awesome full page ads like this one in your local paper. As the Auburn Tigers come to town for a basketball game, why not throw in a full page ad like so?
By the word “FACE”, they are referencing the popular student on campus:

There is no question that Alabama is the “face” of this state and gets the most press nationally. It is a fact and can’t really be argued. That makes stupid, childish things like putting a full page ad in your own student newspaper about “Awwwburn” or, I don’t know, poisoning trees embarrassing for all of us in the state because we are associated with you. I read the Plainsman every week. It’s by no means a great student newspaper, but at least they don’t take out full page ads to taunt fans that don’t read it. All of Auburn is laughing at you, but the rest of the nation is laughing at both of us… and it’s not because of our crazy fans… For both of our sakes, Alabama fans, quit embarrassing yourselves.

higgman55- you just proved our point about ignorant fans .. 1st of all- a tornado did touch down here last year – that is just disrespectful and tasteless. 2nd you want to threaten someone- WOW- no one ever said anything about Tennessee – now did they? yes (1) bama fan was a fool and destroyed Toomer’s Oaks , but they also started Tide For Toomers to help protect what is left of them. And Auburn helped Bama when the tornado touched down there and wiped out part of the town. Grow Up or go back in the woods where you came from. We may be rivals but we do have compassion . SEC is suppose to support eachother at times of need-
you are just a dumb red neck- ignorant- – I really dont think that the team of the Vols would stand behind you speaking like that. I am sure that both Auburn and Alabama would stand behind what I said. Dont get me wrong, I am a Auburn Fan 100 %. When it comes to human compassion there is no war eagle nor is there any roll tide. At a time of need we come together and stand tall and united. We never let a brother or a sister from another SEC team sit waiting- wondering if the rivalry will keep them waiting at a time of need. You sir – need to grow up.
The last time I checked people, football was still a game and didn’t my bills. There needs to be an intervention of some kind in Alabama, I mean this is crazy. I miss the place, but what happened to being the neighborly place I left in ’93?
Why are the Regents on the University of Alabama blocking UAB ( Birmingham’s Largest employer) building a on campus stadium? I read UAH was already looking at forming its own board, maybe UAB should as well.
Because building an on-campus stadium for UAB would be the biggest waste of money imaginable. They have absolutely no fan base whatsoever.
