It’s fun to look over the history of the SEC during the BCS era, as the SEC has totally dominated the BCS era as we know it. And we have two more years to continue that legacy before the playoff comes into effect in 2014.
Since 1998, the talent that has poured into the NFL from this league is amazing, and the list of players that we have been able to witness is incredible.
ESPN.com revealed their All-SEC team from the BCS era yesterday:

Obviously, the BCS started in 1998.
To be eligible for the list, the player had to play at least two years in the BCS; so, that eliminates both Cam Newton and Nick Fairley.
I would have included an “ATH” position as well and inserted Randall Cobb, the do-it-all player for Kentucky.
Who did the Mothership leave out?

Jason Witten
Josh Reed won the Biletnikoff Award and was first team all-conference in 2000 and 2001.
Agree w/Josh Reed. He was unstoppable at times; had over 1700yds.
I don’t know how/where you’d put him but the list without the Honey Badger doesn’t look right.
KR = Felix Jones
Shouldve had Josh Reed for sure, maybe Dwayne Bowe. Morris Claiborne or Corey Webster instead of Lito Sheppard, and Laron Landry should be there at on of the safety spots, im mean he’s one of the most feared hitters in the SEC BCS era just ask Brodie Croyle and John Parker Wilson. Personnaly I would’ve liked to see Andrew Whittworth at OL.
