It seems the SEC hatred continues with these rankings. Most of the country doesn’t want our conference to win a 7th consecutive National Championship. For further proof, check out this Anti-SEC Magazine Cover from ESPN…
In addition, LSU was ranked No. 1 before Tyrann Mathieu’s dismissal.
If you’re wondering, yes, LSU was on its way to being No. 1 before Mathieu was dismissed. Very close vote, before and after.

Who did they miss?

So let the BS begin. They will keep USC, Oregon, and Oklahoma near the top cupcake after cupcake while the SEC powerhouses will have to earn their rankings. We will have to wait till the Nov. games WV/OK and Oregon/USC to have any contenders while the SEC will once again have in conference competition on a whole different level every single week. Overall the Pac12 and the Big 12 are a joke in comparison. They have three or maybe four contenders between both conferences yet the SEC have five which also have to play one another. Most SEC teams have 3 or 4 very competitive and difficult in conference games while the other conferences have 2 at most. Almost makes Boise State claims legitimate. The BCS and ESPN will continue the garbage for broadcast rights and ratings against the SEC and CBS.Just wait for Mussberger to get all giddy and orgasmic for USC, Oklahoma, and Oregon.
With USC being #1 they have the inside track to the BCS game already. Unless they lose to Oregon they will not drop out of the top spot. Good chance they play Oregon twice, once in season and again in the PAC-12 champ game.
IMO there should not be an “official” poll until 1 October. Then the voters would have a much more accurate feel for where all the top teams actually were in relation to each other.
