Check out the SEC schedule for next week.

I cant believe Im saying this but FSU should be #2 and Georgia #3 then LSU and Kansas St.
Yea I can’t believe it either. You would have to be a dumba$$ to put them at no.2 after that decent at best performance that FSU played against a clemson team that barely won against them treehuggers in the plains.
What I can’t believe is you left out Oregon. They have been extremely good so far.
My top five would be: 1. Alabama 2. FSU 3. Oregon 4. LSU 5. Georgia. I think FSU answered many questions and they have a cake schedule moving forward.
The ‘Noles will end up losing before the season’s over, possibly LSU as well. ‘Bama’s for real. Anyone that plays them will stuggle, they’re just to well coached. Georgia doesn’t belong in the top 5. I’m an SEC guy, and a realistic thinker; Oregon is where they belong. The order goes: 1. Alambam 2.Oregon 3.LSU 4.Stanford 5.FSU
GO DUCKS!!!!
Georgia shoud not be ranked in the Top 5???? They have out scored their opponents 190-66 and dont deserve it?? Really, who is passing the pipe around????
Georgia shouldn’t be ranked as highly, with their cupcake schedule. They’re allowing too many points a game against these easy teams. The South Carolina game is gonna be a wakeup call for the dawgs
I think it looks pretty close to how it would look. Alabama is definitely 1, but Id have to see how the other two teams would play LSU’s D. I also disagree with the people who say that S.Car is better than Georgia or that Georgia is ranked too high. I think right now both teams are pretty evenly matched so I like where the sit and I do think the UGA vs. S.Car game is going to be a big one but we will have to see.
Ok, all this “Georgia has a week schedule” stuff is getting old. Yeah, before the season started, it looked like they had a ridiculously easy schedule (on paper, albeit) compared to the rest of the conference: they would play in a weak SEC East while avoiding Bama, LSU, and Arkansas in cross-divisional play. Visor gets his panties in a wad, cries a few tears for himself, and then everyone makes a big deal of a perceived weak schedule for Georgia. Now that 1/3 of the season has been played, let’s be honest with one another — Georgia’s schedule is no more easy or difficult than any of the other divisional contenders. At this point, the East seems to be the stronger division from top to bottom (with 3 legitimate title contenders in Georgia, SC, and Florida) while the West really only has two good teams (maybe) in Bama and LSU (the maybe, after their showing against Auburn). Of these two, only Bama has a real quality win over a now 2-loss Michigan. Who has LSU played? No one. We know that Arkansas and Auburn are both disasters for sure and the jury is still out on Miss St. and Ole Miss. TAMU may be the 3rd best team in the West come November. Yeah, Vandy is still Vandy, UK is still a basketball school, and Tennessee still looks like they’re hungover from the Kiffin-debacle.
My point? When you look at the everyone’s schedule in light of the first 4 games, Georgia’s schedule is no easier than anyone else’s. Each of the title-contending teams play only two difficult away games (except for LSU and Florida, who both play only one) and each have at least 3 cupcakes on their schedule (LSU has 4). So, let’s drop the “woe is Steve…” er, I mean “we” and quit whining about Georgia having the easiest schedule. I’ll grant that they may not be in the top 5 nationally, but what has LSU done to earn #3 or Bama to be #1, for that matter? Win the games they’re supposed to win — the same as Georgia. We’ll see SC in a couple of weeks, Florida in about a month, and by that time, we’ll know which teams are the real thing.
^^What he said^^
Who do you root for? South Carolina? LSU? Florida? Only ‘Bama has a reason to think they are better than the Dawgs in the SEC. Everyone else has been just as shaky, and the Dawgs have gotten it together, while LSU, Arkansas, and Auburn seem to be slipping further and further away. South Carolina and Florida look strong but really if they don’t keep Shaw and defensive players, respectively healthy, then there is no way they will be able to compete. And where does Stanford come from? Honestly. One win against USC means they are top 5?
i am a gator fan but i have never saw the sec had allmost 1000 yards in a game like fla state and clem had in that game that tell me no d at all
How can anyone now say Georgia has a cupcake schedule? I think Florida will beat LSU next week, and then Georgia will play two top ten teams in the next month. We will pave our own destiny. Having all defenders back next week, our defense is stouter than South Carolina’s; we have a much stronger offense, being both a threat in the air and on the ground. Alabama is indeed the #1 team. Who knows after that??
LSU should not be ranked NEARLY as high as 3rd place. I mean seriously Auburn almost beat them.
Beware the Gamecocks. We’ll be claiming Georgia’s spot in about two weeks….GAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEE!
So I do my own Top 10:
1. Alabama: I thought this team elevated itself to the NFL last season? No? To bad for other college teams.
2. Oregon: Damn…just wow. I mean I knew it was going to be a beat down…but 49-0?Whatever question you may have had about this team was answered this week.
3. Georgia: Perhaps the greatest Georgia team in recent history, if not all time (sorry 1980-1982 squad). Maybe it is a rouse (hopefully no), I can’t wait till October 6th.
4. LSU: Feeling the pressure? Hearing the footsteps? Whatever it was, correct it before November 3rd.
5. FSU: Really, I love this team. If (God forbid) the SEC isn’t in the BCSNC I really would like to see the ‘Noles win it all. But before that happens, they have to get through VA Tech, Florida, and…oh that is it? Dang…and here I thought the Dawgs had it easy.
6. South Carolina: Conner Shaw has to stay healthy. I can’t stress that enough. Dylan Thompson isn’t ready for a SEC defense yet (yet is the key term here). But great D, solid O, overall good team. October 6th, it will be going down.
7. Kansas State: Oh Hey! There is another college in Kansas, and they are good at football?! Weird…
8. West Virginia: I really thought this would be the team in the BCSNC against Dawgs. Hey, I still hold a grudge for the 2005 Sugar Bowl…but really, WVU has got to solve the defensive issues or else they fate will be similar to another explosive offense with no defenses (cough USC cough Clemson cough)
9. Notre Dame: Don’t yell. Give them their due. It was something like 3 or 4 picks on Denard Robinson? And they happen to be 2-0 against ranked teams, and 1-0 in foreign countries (like that matters). What does matter is a beast named Manti T’eo. Why he isn’t at UGA, Bama, or LSU…I’ll never know.
10. Stanford: Still smiling after that USC win. Nice bye week to calm the guys down so they can get back to work.
Honorable Mentions: Florida, and Texas
UGAs schedule is no easier than USCs. Aside from out of conference rivalries, it’s basically the same. Substitute Ole Miss(3-1) for Arkansas(1-3) and Auburn(1-3) and LSU(4-0). Auburn should have beat LSU too!
