Michigan analyst says Alabama over Notre Dame by a touchdown

The Michigan Wolverines are the only team in the country that played both Alabama and Notre Dame in 2012. Jim Brandstatter, one of the analysts on Michigan’s radio team, says that Alabama is the better team.

“Alabama’s a great football team, and probably more balanced than anybody we’ve seen,” said Jim Brandstatter, the analyst on Michigan’s radio crew. “They’re just solid at every position. You look at them and you go, ‘That guy can play. That guy can play. That guy can play. …’”

The former Michigan offensive lineman called Notre Dame “a good, solid football team.”

“They’re good up front; they’ve got good linebackers,” Brandstatter said. “But Alabama is so solid and so balanced, they just grind and pound and grind and pound. If they don’t turn the ball over, I just think Alabama is a tough team to beat. The balance on both sides of the ball is a really tall order for anybody.”

“It’s going to be a tight game,” he said. “It’s going to go to the fourth quarter, but I like Alabama by about a touchdown.”

"Thank you for making it so easy to keep up with my team.

  1. By the middle of the third quarter Bama should be running down ND’s throat.
