According to multiple reports, former LSU women’s soccer goalkeeper and homecoming queen, Mo Isom, is trying out for the LSU football team as a place kicker. Yes, you heard me correct.
She released this statement on her Facebook page about the tryouts:
“(I’m) absolutely overwhelmed and humbled by all of the amazing support that has been pouring in surrounding tryouts,” Isom said on her Facebook page. “There is so much power in prayer, so please know that I truly appreciate every single one of you! Today is the first of a 3-day tryout, so I would appreciate continued prayer through this week.”
If she makes the LSU squad and plays in a game, she will not be the first female to accomplish that feat, though. Former New Mexico kicker Katie Hnida in 2003 accomplished that in the Las Vegas Bowl. She will however be the first female to do so in a BCS conference and the first in SEC history.
Isom once scored a 90-yard goal that was featured on SportsCenter during her collegiate career at LSU.

Here is a video of Mo Isom’s 90 yard soccer goal:
I find it very illuminating that pictures of LSU’s star players in the weight room are of them posing whilst pictures of Alabama’s athletes in the weight room are of them…lifting weights.
Maybe that’s why we stomped a mudhole in their … in New Orleans.
Keep posing honey badger, keep posing!
