In Dan Mullen we trust.
Every Mississippi State fan believes that when they say it. They believe he will be there long-term and believe that he is the guy to lead them to an SEC Championship in the West.
MSU announced its new $75 million stadium renovation that will be complete in 2014…just in time for the new playoff. With that, Mullen says he’s ready for the pressure it will apply for his staff and his team to fill the seats.
And he’s talking about SEC Championships.
“I love the pressure,” Mullen said Wednesday. “Hopefully we have an SEC championship by the time we move into that stadium and create even more excitement for our fan base. I put pressure on myself every year to win, and we’ve got to put pressure on ourselves to continue to put a great product on the field and a great team the people of Mississippi can be proud of.
“And there’s a lot of pressure on our fan base to step up their game even more and create an even more exciting environment.”
Mullen has never shied away from competition or the fact that MSU is usually slated to finish in the middle or bottom of the SEC West every year. He embraces the task at hand.
Whatever you do though, don’t ask him about injuries.

You couldn’t have hit the nail any squarer on the head. I love Dan Mullen, we all love Dan Mullen. He is our football savior and will lead up to the promise land we know as Atlanta. Dan the Man Mullen is so important he’s held in higher regard than most of our family members, and my girlfriend will tell you, he is even held higher than our significant others.
To prove my love for Dan Mullen I will leave you with this truth. There are only three things I capitalize when I am texting, and those are God, America, and Dan Mullen.
