SDS Week 6 “Pick Ten” Challenge

1) LSU for all its issues will show up and dominate Florida. Youth at the QB position will show up in this game.
2) Georgia at South Carolina is by far the hardest game to pick. Georgia has had its way with people this season, but a few years ago South Carolina beat convincingly under similar circumstances Bama who had just had a nail biter with Ark. South Carolina would be my pick, but this game will be close.
3) I think Ole Miss is going to surprise some people and win this game. A&M cannot take any SEC West team lightly, but Ole Miss is better than people want to think this year.
4) Missouri gets a much needed win here.
5) Arkansas has something going for it that Auburn does not, a lot of talent. Think they get it together this week and destroy Auburn in a regain confidence game.
6) Mississippi State destroys a hurt Kentucky team in a statement game (since no one is talking about them).
Over/Unders:
7) “Gurshall” over/under 175 yards rushing against South Carolina*. Don’t see this happening and would be shocked to see it go over. People look to Murray as the heart beat of this offense, but most SEC coaches talk about stopping the run as a priority and forcing opponents into a passing game. South Carolina gets a very effective pass rush with 4 guys, but will load the box this week and fill up the gaps. I would expect the passing game for Georgia to shine, so this is definitely an under for me.
8) Johnny Manziel over/under 300 combined pass/rush yards against Ole Miss. This is a toss up to me. Ole Miss is small, but very effective on defense and forced Alabama to kick a lot of field goals last week. They are hungry right now and want wins in the west. But, the score could get out of hand in this game with two offenses that like to put up points and move the ball quickly. Wouldn’t call usually, but probably would see him get right too or just over in this game. So my pick is over.
9) Jeff Driskel will have passing yards over/under the passing yards of Zach Mettenberger (pick who will have more passing yards). Mettenberger with something to prove. Dreskel is going to be on the move a lot in this game and trust his feet more. Mettenberger probably not poised to have a huge game, but will have more passing yards with Dreskel having a terrible game.
10)Jadeveon Clowney will have over/under 1.5 sacks against Georgia. This will be directly proportionate to their ability to stop the run. Even if they can, they have been spreading the love around. Have a feeling he will be contained and probably not make this mark. Under for me. It is a tossup though.
