The Senior Bowl is talking to the NFL about allowing some juniors to play in the game each year. Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage thinks it may be time to allow juniors to play if they meet certain strict criteria. Savage is the new guy on the scene, only having been hired last month, and he officially began his duties on June 1. The criteria for juniors is: a player must declare early for the NFL draft, be graduated by December, be with a program for four years and have the blessing of his college coach. [AL]

Arkansas will unveil their new uniforms today around 10 AM. We have given you a look on here, and they have been speculated on for quite some time. We’ll finally be able to see them sometime today. AD Jeff Long says the new unis will bring “a new look to a tradition-rich program.” I’m interested to see how they sit with Arkansas fans. [Arkansas Sports 360]

Auburn received a commitment from DE Tashawn Bower yesterday. This is much needed good news to the community…not that a commitment will take away any pain from the recent murders. The 6-5, 240-pound junior made 75 tackles last season. Bower is from Somerville, New Jersey, and he chose Auburn over FSU, Miami and South Carolina among others. [AL]

Mississippi State received its biggest commitment of the recruiting cycle so far in the state’s top RB Kailo Moore. WR DeAndre Woods of Pinson, Alabama, also committed to the Bulldogs. Moore, however, should be the cornerstone to this class for the Bulldogs. He rushed for 1,570 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior. He was also named the track athlete of the year by the Clarion Ledger. [Clarion Ledger]

  1. As to the new Hog unis, there are some complainers, there always will be regardless. As far as I am concerned, as long as the Hogs win, I don’t care what they wear.
