Nick Saban received a two-year contract extension and a $550,000 raise this year. If Saban stays and his contract is not changed, he will have a gross earnings of $44,983,333.36 for his career as the coach of the Crimson Tide. Defensive Coordinator Kirby Smart received a $100,000 raise to bring his total contract to $950,000 per year. [AL.com]

Several NFL scouts were very disappointed when Tyler Wilson elected to come back to school for his senior season. We all know Wilson would have been a pretty high draft pick this season, and with a little work and improvement, he can really thrust himself into elite status along with other quarterbacks in the country. Wilson has said to be the No. 1 prospect not named Matt Barkley. [Arkansas Sports 360]

Auburn is resting quarterback Clint Moseley’s throwing shoulder, and DT Gabe Wright will miss the rest of spring with an injury. Moseley’s shoulder has been sore due to the amount of throwing he has been doing recently since spring started. Wright’s injury is in his foot, and Auburn hopes he will be ready for the season. Andre Debose needs to step up in a very big way this year for the Gators. Debose was touted as the next Percy Harvin when he showed up on campus, but due to injuries, he did not play much at all his freshman season. And he really did not come into his own until last year. Debose stared for the Gators on special teams and at wide receiver. He will need take his game to the next level in 2012. [Gainesville Sun]

Derek Dooley’s focus after practice No. 1 is ‘team discipline’. Dooley said the energy was good, but it was sloppy overall from the discipline standpoint of everyone knowing where they should be and knowing what to do. This is just practice No. 1. No worries [Go Vols Extra]
