It’s almost January, and that means recruiting season is just about to get more insane than you ever dreamed it could. Let’s take a look at where your SEC team is ranked nationally and within the conference, and one player who tops the wish list. Rankings are based on composite team rankings from 247Sports.com.

Alabama
20 commitments
No. 1 class in SEC
No. 2 class in the country
Headlined by OLB Jonathan Allen, TE OJ Howard and ATH Derrick Henry
Wish list: OT Laremy Tunsil – I know Montravius Adams and Robert Nkemdiche are both on the wish list, but Tunsil is a monster talent like what’s on the offensive line now.

Florida
24 commitments
No. 2 class in SEC
No. 3 class in the country
Headlined by CB Vernon Hargreaves III, RB Kelvin Taylor and OLB Daniel McMillian
Wish list: RB Alex Collins – With two running backs already committed, Florida is trying for #3 with South Florida stud Alex Collins…and it could happen, with FSU staff attrition and impending NCAA sanctions at Miami.

Texas A&M
34 commitments
No. 3 class in SEC
No. 7 class overall
Headlined by ATH Ricky Seals-Jones, WR Derrick Griffin and DT Justin Manning
Wish list: CB MacKensie Alexander – The weakest point of the TAMU defense this season was the secondary, and they could land a premier lockdown-type corner for the future with Alexander.

LSU
24 commitments
No. 4 class in SEC
No. 8 class in the country
Headlined by OT Ethan Pocic, ATH Jeryl Brazil and DT Greg Gilmore
Wish list: DE Kendell Beckwith – The top prospect in the state of Louisiana must stay home at LSU. Beckwith would be another hybrid-type defensive end/linebacker like Barkevious Mingo.

Georgia
30 commitments
No. 5 class in SEC
No. 9 class in the country
Headlined by QB Brice Ramsey, S Tray Matthews and OLB Leonard Floyd
Wish list: DT Montravius Adams – With Rodney Garner now gone as the recruiting coordinator, the chances for Adams may have left with him. However, Georgia will still make a strong push for the in-state monster defensive tackle.

South Carolina
19 commitments
No. 6 class in SEC
No. 19 class in the country
Headlined by LB Larenz Bryant, DT Kelsey Griffin and QB Connor Mitch
Wish list: DT Keith Bryant – Bryant has been considered a strong Miami lean, but the impending sanctions could have his family scared to look elsewhere. And the Gamecocks are on the list.

Mississippi State
21 commitments
No. 7 class in SEC
No. 20 class in the country
Headlined by RB Kailo Moore, WR Corey Smith and DE Chris Jones
Wish list: CB MacKensie Alexander – With two senior corners in Darius Slay and Johnthan Banks leaving, Alexander would have a chance to step in and play from day one at MSU.

Ole Miss
21 commitments
No. 8 class in SEC
No. 22 class in the country
Headlined by DT Lavon Hooks, ATH Nickolas Brassell and ATH Jeremy Liggins
Wish list: DE Robert Nkemdiche – Ole Miss likely has the upper hand on the top player in the country because of his brother already making an impact on the Rebels’ defense. Now, Hugh Freeze has a chance to reel in the biggest fish of all in Nkemdiche.

Vanderbilt
22 commitments
No. 9 class in SEC
No. 27 class in the country
Headlined by RB Johnathan Ford, LB Nigel Bowden, and QB Johnathon McCrary
Wish list: CB Jalen Ramsey – The USC Trojans commit and local Nashville prospect Ramsey is on everyone’s radar, especially since Monte Kiffin will step down at the end of this year. The Dores are desperately trying to make up ground on Ramsey to stay home.

Auburn
12 commitments
No. 10 class in SEC
No. 31 class in the country
Headlined by DE Carl Lawson, DT Dee Liner and DE Tashawn Bower
Wish list: LB Reuben Foster – The one-time Auburn and Alabama commit Foster is still undecided on where he will attend college. However, it would not surprise anyone if he went crawling back to the Tigers on signing day.

Missouri
18 commitments
No. 11 class in SEC
No. 36 class in the country
Headlined by S Chase Abbington, QB Trent Hosick and DT Antar Thompson
Wish list: DT Toby Johnson – Mizzou needs some SEC-ready bodies in the trenches, and Johnson, the JUCO baller, is the perfect fit to play immediately, especially after Sheldon Richardson declared for the draft.

Tennessee
15 commitments
No. 12 class in SEC
No. 40 class in the country
Headlined by ATH Jalen Reeves-Maybin, OT Austin Sanders and ATH Cameron Sutton
Wish list: DE Carl Lawson – Is the Auburn commit wavering? Tennessee looks like the team with all the momentum heading into January right now. Could the Vols flip Lawson on signing day? Keep an eye on this one.

Arkansas
15 commitments
No. 13 class in SEC
No. 42 class in the country
Headlined by CB Carroll Washington, TE Hunter Henry and QB Austin Allen
Wish list: RB Alex Collins – Wisconsin was considered a favorite to land Collins due to their power running game, and now Bret Bielema is on Collins at Arkansas. Florida and Arkansas are the two teams that will battle for Collins’ signature.

Kentucky
16 commitments
No. 14 class in SEC
No. 59 class in the country
Headlined by DE Za’Darius Smith, DT Jacob Hyde and APB Khalid Thomas
Wish list: OT Hunter Bivin – The Notre Dame commit Bivin looks firm to the Irish, but could Mark Stoops swoop in and put a feather out of his cap?
