Well, I finished 9-1 last weekend (28-5 overall), and Kevin too finished 9-1 (27-6 overall). Somebody’s got to break loose soon.
On to week five we go:
Arkansas at Texas A&M
Jon: Arkansas will have to find a way to stop Johnny Manziel, but their defense can’t stop air right now. This could become a shootout. Texas A&M 31, Arkansas 28
Kevin: Arkansas is a bad team. They’re without one of Wilson’s favorite targets in Chris Gragg. I want to say that Arkansas is backed against the wall and will pull it out, but that defense couldn’t stop a lingerie league team. Manziel will be too much. Texas A&M 41, Arkansas 31
Missouri at UCF
Jon: Missouri goes on the road to Orlando this week against the Knights. The Tigers are down and the offense is struggling. I’m going with the home favorites, and my alma mater. UCF 21, Missouri 17
Kevin: Missouri needs to rebound against UCF. I’m picking the SEC here. Missouri 24, UCF 22
Tennessee at #5 Georgia
Jon: I pumped for this game because two great quarterbacks are going head-to-head, but Georgia is just too good on offense and defense, not to mention Tennessee doesn’t have a running game against SEC competition. Georgia 38, Tennessee 20
Kevin: I think Georgia might be the best team in the country. They are stacked. They make tons of big plays, and Tennessee sure gives up the big plays. I like Georgia to run away with this. Georgia 41, Tennessee 21
#6 South Carolina at Kentucky
Jon: No upset this time for the Wildcats, as Carolina will put a hurtin’ on them in Lexington. South Carolina 39, Kentucky 10
Kevin: Kentucky is in trouble. South Carolina puts them down. South Carolina 31, Kentucky 7
Towson at #3 LSU
Jon: Blowout. LSU 51, Towson 6
Kevin: Boring. LSU 48, Towson 3
Ole Miss at #1 Alabama
Jon: Ole Miss will move the ball against the Tide. Ole Miss will gain more yards on the Tide’s defense than each of the first four opponents, but there’s too much talent on Alabama to make it even a game. Alabama 41, Ole Miss 17
Kevin: I’m really curious about this one, but Ole Miss won’t be able to stop Alabama at all. The question is: how many points can Ole Miss put up? Can the Tide cover the 31 point spread? I am going to say no. Alabama 41, Ole Miss 21

TAMU over Arkansas (41 – 14)
Missouri over UCF (24 – 21)
UGA over Tennessee (41 – 10)
South Carolina over Kentucky (48 – 18)
LSU over Towsen (197 – 3)
Alabama over Ole Miss (32 – 21)
So, I appreciate that UGA just got told they may be the best team in the nation.
i agree with your possible 30 point spread over Kentucky by SC, but will they really score 18 points? and i dont think Bama will struggle
I think Kentucky has a chip on the shoulder after that loss to Florida, and will be fired up at home. Personally I think that at the half the score will be 21-18, but the Cocks will regroup and shot out the Cats for the rest of the game.
About Ole Miss, I really like Wallace. I think if he can throw over the heads of the Bama D then we will see the Bama D struggle for the first time. They go into the half with a slim 24-21 lead. AJ then takes control of the game, and the Bama D shuts OleM down.
you nailed it man
Thank you, thank you. If only Bo hadn’t thrown two picks in one drive Ole Miss may have fared a bit better.
T A&M over Arkansas (38 – 21)
Missouri over UCF (21 – 10)
UGA over Tennessee (49 – 17)
South Carolina over Kentucky (48 – 6)
LSU over Towsen (31 – 3)
Alabama over Ole Miss (42 – 17)
I’m not sure UGA is ready to be called the best team in the country but I wouldn’t want to play them this year. Way too balanced in all areas.
