Well, I finished 6-0 last weekend (48-10 overall), and Kevin finished 6-0 (47-11 overall).
On to week nine we go:
Kentucky at Missouri
Jon: The battle of the SEC winless. You know what? I’m going to go with Kentucky and switch it up. Both teams are without their starting quarterbacks, and why couldn’t Kentucky carry over some momentum against Georgia and get their first win? Kentucky 21, Missouri 17
Kevin: I think Missouri plays decent at home and will get this win even despite not having James Franklin at quarterback. Missouri 24, Kentucky 17
Tennessee at #13 South Carolina
Jon: Steve Spurrier has one goal in mind, and it’s to put Derek Dooley out of his misery at Tennessee. South Carolina gets back on track this week against the league’s worst defense. South Carolina 35, Tennessee 27
Kevin: I think the South Carolina pass rush will be a nightmare for Tyler Bray and the passing game. South Carolina gets back on track after two losses. South Carolina 38, Tennessee 28
Ole Miss at Arkansas
Jon: This game is pretty tough to choose between, as both schools can do some things on offense, but Ole Miss has the better defense. I’m going with the Rebels’ running game and defense, as they get a win on the road. Ole Miss 31, Arkansas 27
Kevin: I’m going with the home team here. I actually like the way Ole Miss plays, but I’m going to say that Arkansas puts together a good offensive game and gets the win. Arkansas 38, Ole Miss 35
#2 Florida vs. #10 Georgia
Jon: The SEC game of the week will likely be played in rain and winds due to the passing hurricane. With that, I like Florida’s running game, defense and special teams against the Bulldogs. I also like Florida to put the game away in the second half. Florida 27, Georgia 17
Kevin: I just think Florida is tougher than Georgia, and the Florida running game will be relentless. I think this game is close, but Florida gets the win. Florida 24, Georgia 21
#20 Texas A&M at Auburn
Jon: Both teams are coming off losses, but I like the explosive offense of the Aggies led by Johnny Manziel to get a rebound win on the reeling Tigers. Texas A&M 44, Auburn 24
Kevin: I think Texas A&M looks good in this game. While LSU showed winning at Auburn isn’t easy, I think TAMU is a better team than most realize, and it’s not just Johnny Football. Texas A&M 38, Auburn 14
UMASS at Vanderbilt
Jon: You do realize that UMASS is winless? Vanderbilt picks up its fourth win of the season. Vanderbilt 34, UMASS 10
Kevin: In a game that I have no intention of watching, Vandy gets a win. Vanderbilt 30, UMASS 7
#11 Mississippi State at #1 Alabama
Jon: I think MSU will earn some respect this week against the Tide, but I can’t imagine a scenario where Alabama loses at home. MSU will have to create some turnovers to stay in the game. Alabama 31, Mississippi State 13
Kevin: I’m excited to watch this one. I think Mississippi State keeps it relatively close for much of the game and the Tide pull ahead late. There will be some hard hits during this night game at Bryant-Denny. Alabama 27, Mississippi State 14

Missouri, South Carolina, Arkansas, Florida BIG, Texas A&M, Vandy, Bama
Those are your winners, folks.
Florida BIG. lololol.
Georgia WILL WIN in the trenches. Bring on the rain and wind! Go Dawgs! UGA-31 UF-21
Kentucky 24 – Missouri 21 (last second field goal)
Tennesse 34 – South Carolina 28 (I will explain below)
Ole Miss 41 – Arkansas 17
Georgia 27 – Florida 21
TAMU 56 – Auburn 18
Vandy 42 – UMass 3
Alabama 45 – Mississippi State 7
So about South Carolina and Tennessee. Tennessee played some hard ball against Florida and Georgia. South Carolina is slipping. Plus they must feel completely demoralized. They had the East in their hand and lost it…again. I could really see an upset here.
Now, Georgia and Florida. A) I am required to believe in them as a student at UGA. B) I think Florida is completely overrated. C) We will see what happens.
Now Mississippi State. I really REALLY think they are overrated, and just get exposed beyond belief.
Do you really think GA wins, or are you just a homer?
I honestly believe that UGA can win. And that Florida is overrated.
Same question for you fella??
I don’t like to predict scores but I hope Dawg win tomorrow.
Dawgs*
Kentucky(They actually looked pretty good against Georgia), South Carolina (I don’t think Tennessee can score that much against us), Ole Miss (not but much, a field goal or a touchdown), Florida, TA&M, Vandy, and Alabama (but I’m not so sure it’ll be a blowout like everyone is predicting)
not that i think tennessee or derek dooley are truly that impressive of a force, but look at their 4 losses: an average opponent ranking of #10 at the time and #6 currently, and a combined opponent record of 27-1 (33-3 including this week’s SoCar). This is only the second most difficult schedule in the conference behind kentucky: leaving out the anomaly that is arkansas, they’re combined opponent record is 44-6 (this has to be an FBS-record this year) and the only team to have played 5 ranked teams who averaged #15 at the time and #10 currently. even the Alabama’s/Michigan’s/Ohio State’s/Oregon’s(/2011 LSU) of the country would have trouble with these kind of schedules.
oh, and here’s my purely statistical prediction of the outcomes. I took average of each team’s scoring offense and their opponent’s scoring defense (i.e., Alabama’s scoring 41ppg and Miss St.’s allowing 14ppg, average the two and you get Alabama’s score)
.
Alabama 28, Mississippi St. 23
Texas A&M 34, Auburn 19
Ole Miss 32, Arkansas 27
Florida 27, Georgia 26
South Carolina 33, Tennessee 24
Missouri 28, Kentucky 22
Vanderbilt 30, UMass 16
.
As it turns out, I think most of these are pretty accurate or at least close.
