Morris Claiborne and Ron Brooks ring any bells??? I can almost forgive you for missing Ron Brooks, he was named only the SEC defensive player of the week once this past season. Now, missing the Jim Thorpe award winner is just inexcusable.
I spoke with former Tiger safety Jessie Daniels, who coaches at Breaux Bridge now, during the nat’l title weekend. I asked him which of the three boys they were sending to LSU would make the biggest impact next season. With no hesitation, he said Travin Dural. He went on to say that Travin would be All-SEC next season. That’s a bold statement but it is coming from someone who’s been there. Take it for what it’s worth.
