As we’ve been talking about here at SDS, Vanderbilt is excelling in the video and online marketing aspect of running an athletic department. The video crew put out a very Friday Night Lights-ish pregame walk-through video and a game highlights video.
Vanderbilt also just released their own version of “Jacked Up” from the Northwestern game:
While the video and marketing aspects are important and are things that should continue, Vanderbilt is 0-2 on the field before entering the meat of their SEC schedule. It’s a reminder that a charismatic coach and a knack for YouTube doesn’t equate to immediate improvements on the field.
Turnovers and struggles in the ground game resulted in a disappointing loss for James Franklin’s Vanderbilt team.
Vanderbilt gets Presbyterian at home this week before getting back at conference play.
C’mon Vanderbilt. You gotta beat Northwestern.
