I understand the "failing to study" part of the argument, but "failure to warn" implies that players would say no to the opportunity. No 20 year old kid is going to say no to a chance in the spotlight, the opportunity to make millions of dollars and become an icon. Simply getting recruiting is a life changing experience for some of these guys, and if they get significant playtime in a nationally recognized program? That in itself is an almost guarantee of a bigger paycheck than most of their parents even if they don't go until one of the last rounds of the draft. Because the simple fact of the matter is that they got drafted, and any person that age would jump at the opportunity to have a small chance at that. Even at the risk of life long damage or injury.
