Auburn senior safety Demetruce McNeal was arrested on a misdemeanor possession marijuana charge, per ALcom. He was booked into the Lee County Detention Center and posted the $500 bond this morning.

Gus Malzahn said he’s still gathering facts, and McNeal missed practice this morning.

McNeal is a key member of the Tigers’ defense and the leading returning tackler with 90. He missed some spring football because of ‘personal issues’ and missed 11 preseason practices with a staph infection.
