The bye week is coming at a great time for South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney. He’s been playing through a foot injury, and he confirmed he’ll have foot surgery after the season but continue to play through the pain in 2013.

“I’m going to get it cleaned out after the season’s over with,” Clowney told the Spartanburg (S.C.) Herald Journal. “The more I keep going the more it bothers me. It’s painful. I’m out here playing on it though. I’m just trying to give it everything I’ve got.”

Clowney recorded four tackles, one sack and one forced fumble in the Gamecocks’ 35-25 win over the Commodores, and South Carolina gets an off week before traveling to UCF, who just beat Penn State yesterday.
