Texas A&M freshman starter arrested on drug charges


Texas A&M super freshman LB Darian Claiborne was arrested on two drug possession charges, according to the AP.

Claiborne was arrested Sunday on charges of less than two ounces of marijuana and possession of a dangerous drug. He was arrested at 3 PM, according to the Brazos Country Jail website, and released on $6,000 bond.

Claiborne had a terrific freshman season, making 89 tackles, seven for loss, and forced two fumbles.

Texas A&M plays Duke in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on December 31st.


Texas A&M has suspended Darian Claiborne following his arrest, and he will not travel for Chick-fil-A Bowl.
