According to RebelGrove.com’s Neal McCready, Ole Miss’ team has suffered two tough injuries in the 39-35 win at Vanderbilt.

Nkemdiche was a freshman All-American last season, racking up 82 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles and three interceptions. He’ll miss the Texas and Alabama games at minimum, with Auburn and Texas A&M also falling in the six-week window. Morris, a junior, has logged 19 career starts, including all 13 in 2012. Both are huge losses for the Rebels.

  • The loses do hurt, but Ole Miss has depth at both those positions. The whole second half of the Vandy/Ole Miss game, Ole Miss play Larmey Tunsil at LT and Austin Golson at RG. Both of them did very well and Ole Miss’ offense did much better in the second half. From what I hear. Ole Miss is going to move Burton from RT to RG, Emmanuel McCray from LT to RT and Laremy Tunsil will play LT. While Golson did play well in in the Vandy game, he will be in the rotation at guard. Denzel will be missed because of his ability to make big plays. But Ole Miss will replace him with either Bryant or Kieth Lewis. Both are really solid. So there shouldn’t be any drop off at either OL or LB. They just can’t afford any more injuries.
