After a lackluster start to the bowl season, the SEC saved face by throttling their last three opponents. Ole Miss dominated Pitt; Texas A&M ‘Johnnied’ Oklahoma, and Alabama romped Notre Dame to bring the SEC’s bowl record to 6-3.

And five SEC teams were ranked in the top 10 of the last AP Poll and seven were ranked in top 25, including Vanderbilt. And the way Notre Dame played last night, Vanderbilt would have given them a run for their money.
